Chp 18 Pt. 2 The Rogue Leader

My mother adores the children already and it makes my heart happy. I wasn’t sure if she would accept them as her own grandchildren, but here she is acting as though I gave birth to these children myself. The children ask her question after question and she is so patient as she answers each one. The nurse comes back in and takes some more blood to check if all the toxins have left my system when the next question catches my attention.
“Luna Ahsoka can we bake cookies? I always wanted to bake cookies,” says Savannah and my mother tries to hide her shock but I see it.
She quickly recovers with a smile though I can see this hurts her heart just as much as it does mine.
“You four can just call me Nana and of course we can make cookies. Jolene can you show us to the kitchen?”
