We head into the conference room where the wait staff have already laid out several breakfast items. There are assorted fruits, sweets and drinks. We all fill a plate and take our seats as the elders begin to file in the room. I raise and eyebrow at Hunter when my cousin walks in.

‘What is he doing here?’

‘I am not sure Alpha. I was not made aware of his presence for this meeting.’

“What are you doing here Hank?”

“Elder Marion invited me,” he smirks at me

“This is a meeting of the elders,” I all but growl out.

“Lucas and Hunter are here. What makes them so special” Hank whines.

“Hunter is my Beta, he is required to be present in these meetings. Lucas is Kateria’s personal guard. It’s his job to follow her everywhere. He answers to no one but her. Not even my commands can over rule hers.”

I can see that last part shocks
