Emily's POV

“Alpha, how could I possibly tell you about this? I know it's not your fault that outsiders choose to attack me on the day of our marriage.”

Jacob chuckled slightly. “You're still the same as before, Emily.”

“And so are you.”

“I remember the maid that was in the room. I remember she served the former Luna even till her last breath.”

I choosed not to say too much to trigger Jacob. This time that he was in my room, I knew that he was trying to gauge me up to see what I was trying to do as his new Luna. If he had a clue what I really meant to do then I would assume that he would shut me down in so many ramifications which was why I had to be careful.

“Well, it just happened that I choose her. She's just a maid so It doesn't matter.”

“Just a maid, I see.” Jacob said, and I nodded.

“By the way, I sent some of my men to investigate who those men were that attacked you.”

“And who are they?” I asked.

“Not sure yet. I just came to tell you that I have nothing to do with the attack, that is if you believe me.”

I chuckled. “Of course I don't think you have anything to do with the attack.” I said, even though I was conflicted about that in my mind.

If Jacob wasn't the one who wanted to kill me, then who was? I looked at Jacob closely, putting in mind that I was not supposed to put my trust in him or in his character.

“Anyway, I came to remind you about something.” he said, and I nodded.

“Yeah, what is that?”

“You are my Luna, there are some boundaries you should not cross. I'll send you some books to read later, it will help navigate you.”

“I see.” I responded calmly.

Jacob seemed surprised by my reaction but I didn't take offense to it. He indeed was gauging me to see what my tolerance level is.

“By the way it's getting late, have you had dinner yet, Jacob?” I asked.

Jacob cracked a smile. “You know I think it's way too early to call me Jacob, it sounds a little…” he trailed off.

“Would you rather I call you Alpha then?” I asked and he shook his head.

“Of course not, that's too formal. You are my Luna.”

I lifted my head up.

“You should get going, Jacob.” I said and he nodded, heading towards the door.

As soon as he was gone, I could finally have the time to breathe again.

If Jacob wasn't the one who was the one who sent those werewolves to attack me then who did?

I was going to worry myself about the topic but then I realized that I was only one person. If I was going to get an answer I needed more people on my side other than myself.

I sighed. Anyway, it was not good for me to worry myself to death. It was getting late.

Damn, I just missed an opportunity to ask Jacob to invite me to eat dinner with him. We just had a long talk, it would have been good if I asked him. But since I didn't, I might as well move on.

I stepped out the door and walked down the hallway only to see Fayne holding a tray of chicken and rice soup. I felt a little important watching him hold the tray but then I realized that he was only doing what he was supposed to do. I literally had an important man in the human empire as my slave. What more could he possibly do to survive than to serve me?

“Emily,” he said as soon as he recognized me. Then he walked over to me.

“I was just about to bring the meal to your room.”

“Shouldn’t we be looking at another name for you to call me?” I said.

“Excuse me?” He asked.

“For example, you can start by calling me Luna.” I said.

“Oh, is that what you would like?” He asked.

“Yeah,” I said and he cleared his throat, “Okay, Luna. Should I take the food into your room now?”

“No, I can eat right here.”

I sat down on the bench nearby and he nodded at me.

“Here,” he placed the tray next to me and bowed.

The tray contained chicken and rice soup and it was very flattering so I started eating.

“How is it?” Fayne asked.

“Not too good, not too bad. It's just somewhere in between.”

“I see.” Fayne replied.

“Where have you been?” I asked him.

“What do you mean?”

“Did you make it yourself or is this what the kitchen gave you?”

“This is what the kitchen gave me.” he said.

“Whatever,” I replied. “Did you eat?”

“Not really.”

“Finish this off.” I handed Fayne my leftovers and noticed that he looked pained about it.

“What, do you not want to finish my leftovers?” I asked him.

“That's not the case, I'll finish it.” Fayne grabbed the tray and I watched him eat it right in front of me.

I sighed, thinking to myself. Was I pushing him too much?

“Luna, would you like to go on a walk to cool off?” Fayne asked me, his gaze wife and clear. I think that was a sign for me to say yes, so I did.

“Sure, let's go on a walk.”

We walked down the path until we arrived at the security unit where I said a maid handing out food to the security.

Fayne gave me a gaze which I instantly understood.

I walked over to the maid handing out the food and she gasped when she saw me.

“Luna?!” Her eyes scanned me and she looked as though she was in despair from my presence.

But how did she know that I was the Luna?

“Well, Anna told me about you… Oh, you probably don't know who that is. Well, everyone is talking about you after you entered the fashion designing hall.”

I looked around the room and smiled.“Although I recently just arrived at Galahad clan, Jacob has been treating me pretty well.” I responded with a calm smile. “I hope I can calm Jacob's worries and rule Galahad clan together with him.”Matteo gave me a what-are-you-doing smile which I ignored.I stood on my feet and turned to everyone. “Thank you for having me, my name is Emily Silver.”There was a gasp in the room which I ignored. Although I was married to the Galahad clan and family, I was still my own individual and I didn't want that to change simply because I was married.“I didn't know there was such an interesting Luna in Galahad clan,” The Luna of Crystal Pack said which made me smile.“Anyway, let's start the meeting.” The Alpha of Crystal Pack said and I sat back down next to Matteo. “There is a group of rogues who attacked Crystal Pack and I need the help of the Galahad pack and the Donova

He didn't send you here to look after me either, then what about elder brother?”“Forget about it, no one cares about you. In fact, since you got married, you lost your value to Donovan pack. You should be grateful that I even bothered to come over here.”“You'll regret this Matteo, I know you will.”Matteo headed back to his carriage and rode off, leaving me alone.I fell to the ground, tears rolling down my cheeks.“You'll regret this, Matteo.” I repeated as tears fell from my eyes which I quickly wiped once I sensed someone coming over. The high that I once rode on completely shattered because of Matteo.“Hey, you okay?” I heard a familiar voice behind me.“Completely fine, now leave me alone.” I said only for the pers

I guess they were in the lowest of the hierarchy but somehow they were still higher than me. After all, they were werewolves.“Come on in,” Melissa ushered me and I looked around at the multiple scripts on the shelves in the library and sighed.“I'll be right by the door in case you need me.”I turned to her. “No, please go and tend to the Luna. I didn't know whether it was a vision or an imagination but it was definitely a message. I saw my wolf drowning. She was trying to tell me something but my senses seemed so short from it that I could barely understand it.“I’m sorry Fayne but I need to meditate.”I sat at the edge of the water and closed my eyes about to meditate but Fayne sighed. “No, your dress is wet. You're going to catch a cold if you stay in this for long.”“Well, you're right.” I responded. “But I feel that I might lose the moment to catch up with my wolf.”“No you won't.” Fayne was about to place a hand on his shoulder but then he pulled away.“The easier you are on yourself the more meditative state you'll be in, thus making it easier to connect with your wolf. My sense of smell is back.”“It is?” Fayne smiled at me and I nodded.“I would like to try and run in my wolf form.” I said.Fayne's eyes widened. “Alright.”He turned around, hiding his gaze from my body. I removed my outer robe and shifted into my wolf, tearing my inner robes into shreds. My wolf felt completely free and I ran into the woods, feeling the air soak me in completely. For the first time, I felt completely covered in my essence. I was finally in touch with my inner self.As my paws danced against the softness of the ground, I felt completely grounded and rooted.“Where have you been all this while?” I asked my wolf.“Although I was unconscious, I was always with you. I reminded myself that in order for me to get what I wanted, I needed to be strong but mostly calm and composed.“Well, I'm going to a trip to a Redstone pack for personal reasons. Would you like to come with me?”I thought about it. It could be a plan to get me to eat and drink in another location so he can poison me and blame it on others.“Actually, I want to explore this place a bit more so I'm not going.”“Are you sure?” He asked me.“Yeah,” I answered. “By the way, what are you going to do in Redstone pack?”“Well, just to build some connections that's all.”I hesitated. I found some carrots on the ground and I fed it to the horse as well as some water. When I was done, I walked where Viper had been killed and saw that his body was still there. I removed his body away from the tree and checked his pockets only to see a purse. I grabbed it and checked it only to see that it contained silver.
