Chapter 65

“I'll see you later. I can't tell exactly when though, but I'll see you some other time.” She said as she hurriedly grabbed her keys.

“I'm so sorry I'm rushing. I told my dad that I wasn't going to stay too long and seeing his call now, I know I have stayed longer than I should have.” She explained why she was rushing.

Veronica nodded, “It's fine. I understand.”

“You'll be fine on your own right?” Megan asked her, as she walked towards the door.

“Yes, I will. Stay safe.” Veronica answered her as she followed her, but as soon as she got to a couple of steps before the door, she stopped and waved at Megan from there.

Megan opened the door, stepped out and locked the door from outside, leaving Veronica alone in the house once again.

“Phew!” Veronica sighed quietly as she made her way back into the living room, clearing up the cup Steve had used earlier. She then headed back into the room.

She laid on the bed, wondering what it felt like, having friends once again. She really loved the
