Chapter 68

Scott, half awake, walked off to his parent's room in the very early hours of the morning, with baggy eyes. He yawned as he made his way to their door. Getting to the door, he knocked.

“Yes, who is it?” It was his mum, Beta Lily's soft voice who responded.

“It's me, Scott.” He answered, stretching himself quietly.

“Come on in.” She said quickly and he gently began to open the door and walked in.

“Good morning, mum. Good morning, dad.” He greeted them as he walked to his mum's side of the bed.

She sat up and gently pulled him into her embrace.

“Hi, my love. It's barely morning.” Beta Lily responded, giving him a kiss on his forehead.

“Hello, champ.” Beta Richard replied, sitting up as he yawned, quietly.

“Are you okay?” She asked, concerned. “You're up at this time, and you look like you barely slept a wink throughout the night.” She added, observing and staring at him. “Did you sleep well at all?” She asked again.

“No.” He answered honestly as he rubbed his eyes with his hands.
