Chapter 56

They all became quiet at the sound of their father's voice. Seeing how quiet they had all become because he stepped in, his eyes scanned their faces, moving from Blue, to his wife and then, to his son, Beck.

“I'm sure you all didn't become deaf and dumb all of a sudden.” He said with a stern look on his face. “What's with the sudden silence?” He asked, his eyes not leaving Beck.

“It's nothing, dad.” Beck lied, but his mother was determined not to cover the matter up.

“Liar!” She suddenly shouted, facing Beck.

“Okay, now I need to know what is going on. What is all this?” Beck's dad asked, with a puzzled look on his face.

“Is no one ready to speak now?” He asked, raising his voice.

Before his wife could give him an answer, Blue spoke up.

“Well, it's obviously that girl, dad! I don't even know what he sees in such a crappy person.” Blue answered him.

“Blue!” Beck yelled her name, trying to shut her up but she was not ready to back down.

“What is it?” She snapped, rolling her eyes at him
