SUN CREST PACK

Beck, now the Alpha of the Sun Crest Pack, paced alone in his chambers as he eagerly awaited news. At some point, he got impatient and called out to one of the guards at the door, who immediately rushed in to answer his Alpha.

He bowed before Beck as he said, “Alpha, you called me.”

“Yes, I did. Are they not back yet?” Beck asked him and the guard looked at him, a little confused.

He suddenly remembered what Beck was talking about and answered, “No, Alpha. They are not back yet.”

“Is there no way to reach them so I can know how long it is going to take before they get back?” He asked the guard again.

“I don't think that will be possible, sir.” The guard replied.

“Why not?” Alpha Beck asked him, with a puzzled look on his face.

“We lost communication with them a while after they left the Pack.” The guard revealed and Beck sighed sharply.

“So we really do not have a choice but to wait until they are back, right?” Beck questioned him further.
