Chapter 159

Anna's POV

Turning to the other side of the bed, I allowed my eyes to flicker open only to let out a low sigh. Pulling myself up, I rested my back against the cold wall, shutting my eyes again.

Since Maya left the previous day, I haven't been myself.

The feelings of uncertainty and danger which was lurking around kept tugging on me, making me uncomfortable.

The more I thought about it, the scared I became and to make matter worse, Maya was nowhere to be found since yesterday.

Several times, I have been tempted to ask Alpha Jasper for help but I didn't know how he was going to react to it. He had warned me to call off whatever plan we had in mind but I was too stubborn to listen to him.

“If I had known, I wouldn't have allowed her to go, I would have used Alpha Jasper as an excuse. If I had done that, she would be here with me, I wouldn't be bothered.” I bit my bottom lips, shutting my eyes tightly.
