Sliver POV

Waking up with that joy in me and celebration within me. The alarm beside my bed woke me up at midnight sharp on my birthday morning which was so warm that the alarm didn't fail.

" Sliver Doe of the alpha pack is now plus one today" A loud music kept all my ears from outside my room making me feel so relaxed and happy that my friends knew the day I was born and kept me in my heart.

I walked with so happiness within me and reached them with ways smiling face then it struck me again.

" I would get my mate today" I screeched out with happiness and joy. I hurried up put on my dress and first took my bath. When I was done with all female casual activities I walked through the staircase of the pack house with a smile of happiness and appreciation of what they displayed earlier. I was so amazed and flabbergasted by the gift that was coming in but still, the best gift I could get that day was me find a mate since my both best friends have mates I was so eager to get mine which started when I was still little and haven't joined the pack house.

" Wait up" two familiar voices held on my walking out of the pack house. I just stood still and turned around to find out it was my friefriendAlpha Jan's, Alpha Muse" Their appearance was so down to earth. I was still in love with their stunning dresses and neat appearance when they brought out a wristwatch and handed it over to me with smiles on their faces.

" There would be a curfew tonight" Muse said so taking at least ten per cent of my feelings down but still I have more happiness in me.

" The question here is. Why will there be a curfew on my birthday girls?" I asked the girls standing in opposite directions to my face but their answers weren't worth it at all they both left with a smile happy wishing to get a mate.

I left the pack house walking down the alley of thick bushes and a lot of unfamiliar creatures passing by it. I walked into one of the open caves waiting to get the scent of my mate since it was normal. I waited all day and evening but still no sign of anyone or anything.

Immediately my eyes went to the wrist watch I remembered Muse's statement so I hurried back to the pack house with happiness and joy in me but still jovial to people I saw deep down I was really sad and it looked like Ma cursed by the way the world frown at me with an unhappy look. I walked into my room to discover it was dark like where bats and vampires stayed but still, I went to switch on the light and got more flabbergasted.

" Happy plus one baby girl" Alpha Muse and Alpha Jane both said bringing out a lot of gifts for me to check but I just kind of ignored them just thinking about my life and how it would end without a mate with me. I still didn't give up on having a mate but all my reaction wasn't calling my both friends to notice me but then I sobbed bitterly with no remorse I was from the strongest pack ever.

" Why are you crying?" Jane asked sitting next to me then Muse had to follow the same thing immediately. I just wasn't happy at all even though it was my birthday and me getting my mate's day.

" I must have a mate today unless" I paused for a minute thinking about my next statement to say but still wasn't happy even though the girls tried all way to put a smile on my face but it wasn't working a bit for me " When I remember my old life I need a mate"

" Sliver," the voice came from the basement and was so familiar to me and everyone in the private building. I left alone my sick mom who was half dead and walked to my dad with the happiness that my dad had called me.

" Am leaving you cursed people. You can never have a mate once your mom died in your hand bitch" He said taking out a bag and walking out of the basement to the exit door which was so heartbreaking.

I didn't mind all that. I walked to my mom who I noticed was already died and knelt beside her crying out my life " Mom, I promise you to get a better mate than yours that left you like this " I said leaving her dead body running outside the apartment with tears running down my eyelid like a broken dam.

[ Present day ]

" Like seriously I don't think that matches with you having a mate on your birthday" Muse said beside me helping to clear the tears out of my ear lid that kept dripping around my dress. Immediately I planned to talk I got distracted by who I didn't know

" Alpha Sliver, Alpha Muse, Alpha Jane" we three names were mentioned by an unfamiliar voice which was so strange for someone to call a person without nice respect but we three just ignored the call and kept on discussing the same person calling our name which we three stood up and walked through the staircase of the house. Both friends ran after their mate and talked a little bit to the guy who was screeching their name while I was so down standing at a spot until I heard my name then I fell out of my thinking land.

" Alpha sliver, where is she?" I heard again and I took the bold step of coming to meet the guy in the hallway but as he turned around his appearance was so down to earth and was so amazing and I felt so flabbergasted with what my eye saw at that spot.
