Chapter 118

Leah POV

I freaked out when I saw Damian talking with Thomas. I couldn't let Thomas come within as much as three feet of Damian. He was a bad egg and I would root him out.

I woke up this morning frantically searching for Damian around the mansion. I couldn’t find him at the mines either and so I came to check the factory and I found him with that snake.

He was looking intently at me when I finally arrived in our room and exhaled heavily.

“What is the matter, Damian?” I asked him.

“I should be asking you that, Anne,” He spat.

Something was wrong with his countenance. The way he just spoke to me caused my eyes to widen. Could Thomas have told him anything??

I didn’t want to think that. If Thomas had tatted me out, I would be on my way to the dungeon waiting for the time I’d be killed, by now.

Something else was bothering him. He sighed and rubbed his thumb and index on his temple,

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to snap at you,” He said and turned his back to me.
