Chapter 116

Leah POV 

I ran back into my room. Thomas was right about one thing, I had been running all my life. I was still running and I didn't know when I’d finally stop running. 

I felt my chest slowly tighten. It was like a knot was forming in my chest. It all felt so surreal and I felt like I was slowly losing the air inside my lungs. Nothing could have felt any worse than this except Thomas finding out about me. 

How did he know? Who told him? I was sure I'd been careful not to reveal it to anyone, so how was it possible that he knew about my true identity? 

I couldn't help the tears that formed in my eyes. I had fought all these while to be strong enough, to be able to withstand any of my enemy’s advances but it looked like I was still weak. I thought that helpless and hopeless Leah was finally dead and a new strong and resilient Princess had been born but I guess that dead Leah would always prevail.
