Daisy’s POV

I followed the trail created by the moon’s reflection on the ground, nothing felt right, all I wanted was to see Hades, but his want is to avoid me.

I kept the eyes as I reminder that he was gone for good, it was a sick twisted psychology, but it was what made me sleep better at night.

Tonight had been one of those sleepless nights, my mind in unrest as I walked down the path, the cold breeze brushing through my skin.

Seated in the corner was Hades, his eyes stuck on the part of the garden I had started rebuilding.

My steps faltered, the forlorn look on his face tugged my heart, and I found myself moving towards him without giving it a second thought.

“He is not in a safe state,” Lucien’s words rang in my mind.

The violence I saw that night hadn’t bothered me, for the strangest reason his daunting laughter had been wiped off my memory, and replaced with the image of his helpless body hanging.
