My body is a betrayer. That’s a summary of everything that had happened since Hades came to the hospital.

“She’s coming with me,” Hades growled, lifting me gently from the bed. I hid my head in his hard chest trying to hide from the stares and whispers.

Brittany tried to hide her smile, “okay, just remember, constant body contact,” she said, walking off to her other patient.

It has been two days since the clinic incident, and somehow Hades and I have been around each other like two peas in a pod.

Hades had been like a hovering mother, leaving me confined under his arms. Lucien usually came in to give him his daily work update, while I lay cuddled in his chest.
