CHAPTER 41

“Secrets locked away in hollowed out lockets, left in the dark.”

Daisy’s POV

I should be feeling guilty, but the emotion only feels strange to me. I bit down on the towel, trying to muffled my scream as I slammed my wrist against the bathroom door.

I was slowly losing the one thing that kept Hades close to me for these past days. And in my panicked moment of desperation a twisted thought formed in my head.

My eyes watered as I stared at my throbbing wrist, a needed price for a greater good.

“Daisy,” Hades panicked voice filled the room, and I quickly threw the towel away from me before the door burst open.

Hades eyes took in my form, “you should have woken me up,” he said in a low voice, his fingers gently rubbing my throbbing wrist.

“you haven’t had rest in such a long time and I didn’t want to look clingy,” I cried, finally letting out the pain I was feeling on my wrist.

“you aren’t clingy, we both know your body needs this,” Hades said in a low tone, steering us towards the bed.
