Daisy’s POV

Priya was right, the eyes and snickering had stopped, my existence was long forgotten.

It was easier to navigate around the kingdom without feeling like I was trapped under a huge lens with people analyzing my every move.

The lake had become my solace, the anchor grounding me through all these emotions.

Brittany had been excited when I had mention I was going to pick up gardening again, but this time away from prying eyes.

They had jumped up immediately at the offer and helped clear out a patch between the trees, just by the lake.

“When the sun comes, your beauty would blind it,” I whispered to the black dahlia.

A laugh bubbles out of me, sometimes it felt like the flowers could hear my words, and the thought had made me talk daily to them.

Hazel had said she would be coming around to talk, I found myself happy to be around her and Alaric, they were different, a change I needed.
