“it comes and goes in waves, I can’t hold on.”

Daisy’s POV

“That’s impossible,” Hades muttered, his eyes intently watching me as I writhed in the bathtub.

“She isn’t marked?” Priya whispered, rubbing her neck as she tried to grasp the information.

“I have a theory,” doctor Brittany said.

“You only go into heat after you have been marked, like your body calling to be fertilized but in this case I think her body is calling out to you to be marked,” she explained.

“Hades,” I croaked, my lips dry from how hot my body was burning up.

“She’s burning through the cold water,” Priya said, pulling the plug to drain out the water.

I cried out in pain, my fingers frantically searching for a cold surface to rest on. Priya rushed back into the bathroom with a bucket ice in hand.

“Lucien is bringing the rest,” she said, pouring the ice into the bathtub. My skin sizzled as the ice touched my skin, and I hummed lowly.
