“In this oasis of emotions, I found redemption.”

Daisy’s POV

“You shouldn’t be here,”

Lucien stood, his large frame blocking the entrance.

“You know better,” he growled at Priya, who cowered under his hard glare.

A loud howl pierced through the evening air. The sound echoed through the eerily building, rising and falling like a broken chilling cry.

It was raw, primal cry of a tortured soul, the haunting sound sent shivers down my spine, and my body stilled in fear.

Lucien’s eyes darted towards me, and I could see a trace of panic dancing in his orbs.

“you shouldn’t have brought her,” he said in a low tone.

I finally found my strength, and stepped up, shielding Priya from her brother’s angry stare.

“she is here because of me,” I said.

“I want to be here,” I whispered.

Lucien ran his hand through his hair, blowing out a quick breath, his eyes flickered to the dimly lit room that produced the screams.

“you don’t get it, you can’t be here right now,” Lucien said.
