Chapter 016

Eira's POV

After our talk with my mom, I and Mona headed back inside. Maybe I should really consider taking Mom's advice.

“ Mom may be right, maybe I should take the first step,” I said to Mona who walked behind me.

“ I'll do my best to support you but just try not to be too forward about it,” Mona advised.

“ Even if I wanted to be forward about it, I don't think I can drop my pride to throw myself at him like that,” I sighed. I wasn't crazy enough to do something so embarrassing as throwing myself at him.

“ Heyyy! Princess Cleo, you left so suddenly. Are you feeling better?” Anakin popped out of one of the rooms as I walked through the hallway.

“ I never said I was feeling terrible to begin with,” I frowned.

“ A thank you for asking would have sufficed though,” he winked.

“ Ahem… There's something I wanted to ask you,” I cleared my throat.

“ Hmm, this is new. It seemed like you weren't fond of me for quite a while,” he picked his ears nonchalant
