Chapter 009

Eira's POV

This was getting awkward, especially for me. With the gaze of the whole empire on I and Kia, I regretted my choice. I might have been able to endure this if he didn't look at me with those piercing eyes of his like that.

“ Just kill me,” I muttered.

“ Huh? You want me to dance with you? What makes you think I'd agree to that?” He snapped. I knew I shouldn't have acted impulsively.

“ T-that's…” I stuttered. How was I going to explain him that I didn't even pre-plan what just happened!?

“ First, you have me become your personal guard and trainer just because you're the princess and now you want to make me your dance partner. You've got to be kidding me,” he scoffed. I knew my parents had ruined his image of me.

“ Well, I'm here for the sauce,” Anakin watched in amusement rather than help resolve. What was I really expecting from him? He was clearly acting exactly how I had assumed he would.

“ Are you going to use your position or the
