“No, we aren’t leaving,” Amaya said as she shook her head.

They looked at her in confusion as they did not understand her or why she was saying that.

“Why? I thought that you hated Aiden. You can use this opportunity to get you and Leila out of here and out of his life,” Marcus asked with a frown on his face as he was confused.

“Even if I can, I won’t. Leila loves him so much as the wolf in us. I can’t hurt them as I will be hurting myself too,” Amaya said, making them remain silent as they understood her.

The mate bond works weirdly thus they know nothing will make Leila stop loving Aiden after just some hours of argument.

“But don’t you think that it will hurt them more when they continue seeing him treating them indifferently?” Elana asked with worry in her eyes.

She wanted what was best for her sister. Seeing her in pain also made her heartache. She was after all, like Leila’s mother, and a mother had to protect her child from any pain.
