2. The shift

Micheal pov 

Today is the day! The day of my sixteenth birthday! The day I shift for the first time. The day I have been waiting for but also the day my Mom has been dreading the most.

"Mom please relax I am the one shifting not you." I said in exasperation. She was freaking out like literally freaking out and was making me freak out a bit but I was putting myself together. I have three little siblings who look up to me as their hero, If I start freaking out the way Mom is, they will think I am scared which I am not by the way.

"Oh my little boy, are you in pain? Please tell me where does it hurt?" Mom asked  kissing my checks and forehead and hugging me really tight.

" Scarlet leave the poor boy alone.." my Dad decided to save me from the horror. I love my Mom a lot I can do anything for her but sometimes she is too over protective not only me  but my little sister and brothers  too. 

I growled when I felt it the first time. Bones breaking! man did it hurt but I didn't let out a whimper of pain.

"Oh my baby my poor baby Zane please making it stop.." I heard my Mom say and she start sobbing. I didn't like seeing my mom in tears but today there was nothing I could do as I had my own troubles to deal with.

Snap! another bone broke and I fell to my knees closing my eyes biting my lip refusing to whimper in pain.

It was the longest minute of my entire life until all the pain suddenly disappeared and poof I heard a sound.

"Zane he is a double our son is a double.." I heard Mom squeak like a teenage girl only my Mom can do that.

I opened my eyes and saw that I was on four paws feeling the grass on my paws

Before long a white blindng light appeared and Mom was in her full Angel form. I looked at her in awe she was so perfect I sighed wish I was an Angel too.

She came closer to me then touched my Wolf head and then something on my back. I felt the wind blow and before long I was floating in mid-air like she was 

"Woow.." every gasped while I looked on wondering what was happening and what was so good about me floating then I heard it something flapping I turned my Wolf head to see but couldn't. 

"You have wings you are a hybrid.." Mom said smiling widely at me. Before long we both landed on the ground and Dad and everyone else who was older shifted into their wolves while grandma Serene ( Mom's Mom )  took my little sister and brothers into the house, she couldn't shift since she was the goddess.

We went for a run and after coming back I shifted back feeling absolutely amazing.

"Wow I am so excited.." my Mom squeaked pulling me into a hug, " I aways knew you were a double.." she grinned at me while I smile.

"I guess Jack was wrong.." my Dad chuckled. Jack was my uncle well I don't really consider him as an uncle since he was a year and a half younger than me. My grandparents Mom's parents decided to have a little fun and have more kids much to Mom's dismay.

She was like twenty one when my grandparents had two more kids, well it was bound to happen,they had been separate for over twenty years and once they found each other again I am guessing they failed to resist anyway not my story to tell.

"Jack come here.." mom said call her little brother.

"Yes sis.." Jack said with a sheepish smile. He was a god could see the future and everything just like my grandma 

"You told us he was a regular Wolf not a double, care to explain.." my Mom said her hands on her hips and I knew Jack was in trouble. 

"Come one sis I didn't say he was a Wolf only I just said he was a Wolf and I was right he is a Wolf.." he smiled cheekily 

"but you--" Mom huffed walking away followed by my Dad.

" Yay!! big brother you are so cool.." my little sister Jasmine said coming towards me pulling me into a hug. 

"Really?" I asked with a small smile

"Yes big brother.." my little twin brothers said in unison. "You didn't even cry in pain the way Mommy was crying you are our hero.." they both hugged me while I smiled they were only six years old while my little sister was 11years old

"Yes big brother we love you." Jasmine said hugging me as well

" come along little ones time for bed.." Grandma Kaira said followed by grandma Serene. They each pick up the little boys taking them to bed while Jasmine followed behind.

"Good night big brother.." they all said in unison. I just waved at them running to my room.

**Victoria pov** 

I was dreading going to school I didn't want to. All I wanted was to stay in bed and sleep. Well you can't blame me everyone at school hated me no one wanted to play with me and it sucked. 

"Come on pequeño (little one) time for school.." Mother Maritza said. She was the orphanage caretaker and we all considered her as our Mother since we didn't have any.

There was like 30 kids in the orphanage 20 girls and the rest were boys. I was the oldest 9 years old while  the rest were only 7 years and below

 No one ever wanted to adopted me because apparently I was ugly. Everyone called me ugly except Mother Maritza and I had decided to start covering myself up so that no one could look at me because they claimed my face was dusgusting.

I didn't know what was wrong about me and why no one ever liked me. Mother always told me that I was beautiful but I didn't know my no one else saw it.

"Pequeño( pe ke nyo) get up you will be late.." 

"No mama I don't want to. No one likes me there, I don't want to be lonely.." I said pulling the covers over me.

"Mi amo(my love) don't say that! You are beautiful smart intelligent they are just fools to think you are ugly. You are beautiful in my sight.." I pulled the covers off looking at her as she gave me the sweetest smile ever

"You think so mama?"

"I know so my love I know so. If those kids tell you something bad don't mind them okay they are not worth it.." I nodded my head getting up mama helped me shower get dressed in my outfit which covered my entire body except my eyes. 

"Why don't you like wearing this?" mama asked showing me a pair of pink shorts.

"No Mama I don't want people to call me ugly.." I said to her. She sighed grabbing my backpack and filing it up with my lunch

"Have fun at school Pequeño and don't mind what the other kids say okay.?"

"Yes mama.." she kissed my forehead and waved me goodbye.

Oak Tree Junior School were the most popular and rich kids came to school. You may be wondering how I got to go to such a school. Well one of the most popular and richest family here in Baja owns the orphanage. It's the Black and Leigh orphanage. They are really lovely people and made sure every kid had everything she needed.

The bell rang and I rushed off straight to my locker grabbing everything I needed for my social studies class.

I went into the class and went straight to the back sit were apparently I belonged.

Class passed by in a blur and soon it was lunch time

"Oh look there is the fatso.." I heard one of the popular girls Jasmine say. She was the meanest girl in school and also  the daughter of one of the orphanage founder.

I didn't say anything instead I went straight to my locker grabbing my lunch

"Hey you weirdo I am talking to you.." She and her cousins the Leigh twins surrounded me from all sides 

"You've got no were to run now little bunny now show us your ugly face.." She was about to remove my clothing when

"Jas.." a voice which belonged to Non other than Micheal Black roared. Jas and her little cousins gasped. We looked in the direction were he was with his cousin Aaron and his I don't know whether is twin brother or not, Jack. They started coming towards us and I gulped

"What are you doing? What did I tell you about bullying others?" he scolded her 

" Sorry big brother I was just.. I was just.." she stuttered while I smirked intently serves her right for bullying me.

"Apologise right now.."

"What?" all four of us said looking at Micheal. 

"I can't apologise to her she is just filthy and doesn't have any parents.." Ouch that hurt I felt my eyes go moist.

"Jasmine apologise to her right now or else you are going to be in big trouble. You should never degrade other people just because they don't have parents, she has a bright future just like you do! apologise right now.."
