I didn't expect to see Mr. Welkin bringing three frozen ducks to the apartment.

"I specifically found these ducks from my freezer. They've been frozen for quite some time. All of you can have one each. I promise you that you'll feel cool in no time."

Mr. Welkin soon distributed the ducks to the rest of the Kennedies.

My mom complained, "You might as well bring us ice cubes at this point! These ducks are so disgusting!"

Mr. Welkin responded by stuffing a duck into Mom's arms right away. She was about to turn it down when she felt the duck's cooling surface. Almost instantly, her expression relaxed, and she let out a soft groan.

A smile soon expanded across her face. "Wow, this really is cooling! Not gonna lie, this duck really helps cool me down!"

Nicholas and Millie were also quick to welcome the ducks into their arms. Their looks of disgust vanished instantly when they hugged the ducks. In fact, they began nuzzling against the ducks while looking ecstatic.
