Rori.
I leaned casually into my locker applying a thin layer of cherry red lip gloss using the mirror I had taped to the inside door, as Sage leaned against her own locker next to mine her eyes scanning the hallway for anyone of interest whilst she held her book to her chest like a protective shield. Sage was a rare shifter being half wolf, half witch and today she had turned her long blonde hair bubble gum pink with her magic powers. Sage was almost a year and a half younger then me but we grew up together as part of the Pea's. The Pea's was an originally cruel name given to us by the other children years ago to tease us as we had grown up together in a pod sheltered from alot as we were all Royal blood and heirs. It however stuck and now while we all attended the Royal Academy together we embraced it to spite the other students. I was Her Royal Heighness Princess Rori Catherine Sinclair daughter of the legendary Green wolf and direct descendent of the Moon Goddess Charlie Tudor the werewolf Queen and my Father was a pure blood Alpha and the King Emmett Sinclair. My twin brother His Royal Heighness Prince Eoin William Liam Sinclair was the crowned Prince and would be the next werewolf Alpha King. I had a younger brother Ash and a sister Victoria and the horrible feeling my parents were working on adding another sibling. My parents were loves true fairytale love story they were fated mates and madly in love. Their love story should of made me want to find my mate all the more but for some reason finding my mate seemed like another thing that would bind me and tie me down. I wanted to be free to love who I wanted and not have it decided for me. I knew it went against all we learnt as werewolves and that the bond was sacred but to me it was another thing in my life pre decided for me just like my Title of Princess and the duties that came with it. Besides the one boy i would or could consider as a mate had an expressed desire to see my as some kind of kid sister. I was one month from getting my wolf at eighteen and I hoped she shared my views on mates. Whilst I didn't want a mate it didn't mean I wasn't open to a bit of boy candy fun and I did have my eye on one particular person that I knew wouldn't treat me like some kid who needed bossing around. I reached down and rolled my school skirt up another inch at the waist band revealing even more of my sun kissed golden legs. Sage and I had spent the weekend making sure our tans were top notch lounging by the Palace pool. Smirking at my perfectly placed make up I grabbed my gym bag and shut the locker door only to find myself face to face with Ben.I inwardly groaned. Ben was another member of the Pea's and had grown up with us close by. He was my brothers best friend despite the nearly two year age gap. Ben was a bear shifter and was Alpha Gideons son he and I had been extremely close until we suddenly weren't. When I turned sixteen and Ben was eighteen he changed towards me. Ben had always been super protective of me and we went everywhere together along with my brother Eoin. But he was always soft and kind to me until that one night. The night we had all been gathered in the tree house on the Royal grounds. The siren royal twins Arthur and Amira had been there along with Sage, James the Royal beta's son, my brothers Eoin and Ash, his friends Colin and Anthony, Francesca and Morgan and of course Ben. we had been playing truth or dare and my friend Morgan knowing my crush on Anthony had dared me to kiss him. Anthony had stood and as he reached his hand for me Ben had intervined."The game is over." he snarled even now thinking back to the night it gave me angry chills. He used his Alpha aura and being that he had his Bear and in fact had been shifting since the age of three he forced them to comply but it never affected me for some reason. Anthony nodded stepping away and everyone looked uncomfortable."Excuse me?" I asked him. "Its not over it was my damn turn." I yelled."Drop it." Ben said his Bear in his eyes flashing me a warning."I will not drop it. Who do you think you are Ben." I spat. He stood firmly in front of me as the others moved to the tree house exit. This was not unusual Ben and I had developed this dynamic recently over the summer. When I wore my first bikini that summer to the watering hole he made me wear my shorts in the water like some over bearing lunatic older brother and my usually good natured best friend had humilated me. This had continued on, with Ben pushing me away and that all lead us to that explosive night in the tree house."We are not playing anymore." he yelled back."We are going in for pizza." Ash called but Ben and I were locked in a staring match . For two people who had been together always and so close the summer had destroyed it."Why do you get to decide we are not playing anymore?" I stamped my foot."I just did." he snapped. "What is your actual problem here did you want to kiss Anthony that badly?" he threw at me through gritted teeth."You do not get to decide who I kiss." I had said determined as I stepped towards him. He had suddenly grabbed me pulling me close and crashed his lips to mine. I felt my own lips move with his continuing to fight for control with our lips and tongues before I pushed myself away. Ben had stolen my first kiss. I had stormed confused from the tree house into the cool summer air and we had never spoken of that kiss after.Shaking myself from the memories of that night I glared at him."What do you want?" I was irritated. He said nothing but reached around to the waist band of my pleated school skirt unrolling it so it hit the regulation knee length. His eyes bore into mine as he unrolled my skirt waist band i could feel the warmth of his hands through my white school blouse."you are insane you know that?" I snapped pulling myself back to reality and away from his sizzling glare."You are a Princess not a call girl." He murmured."And you are a teenage boy not my father." I bit back as he ran his thumb over my lips no doubt removing my newly applied lip gloss."Stop touching me." I growled pulling myself away from the heat radiating from his body. He caught himself and moved back. I re opened my locker and stubbornly re applied my lip gloss before shooting him a glance and grabbing my gym bag I pushed past him."what is going on with you two?" Sage asked trailing me."I haven't a clue. He is worse then my father." I grumbled."Maybe there is more to it?" She pushed"No its some weird older brother protector crap that I will get away from." I sighed. "and you are going to help me." I added as Sage sighed.I pulled on my training sports bra and shorts, tying my hair into a messy bun I went to basketball training as Sage went up into the bleachers to wait for me. She sat reading and I was relieved to see Ben wasn't there he must be out at Alpha training today. Ben played basketball on the school boys team, along with football and soccer. I played basketball, softball and soccer which kept our evenings in the academy busy. Along with Luna training and my clubs I had no free time to dwell on Ben's overbearing nature. When training ended I hung back to practice a few free throws and to kill time before Eoin came to walk us home. Sadly if I didn't wait for Eoin or Ben then Sage and I required a royal gaurd, those were my father's dumb rules I was only glad today was Eoin's day. I tossed the free throws and looked up feeling the presence of another in the huge gym."Want me to pass the ball back for you?" Anthony asked his soft light brown hair slightly messed from his own training it was damp meaning he had been swimming. He was tall with broad shoulders and had an amazing smile. He belonged in a boy band all the girls in the academy swooned over Anthony. Anthony was the son of the Alpha of the largest pack in Britain. His British accent added to the sex appeal greatly. Titled as Sir Anthony he was as good as British royalty and he was a good student. He tossed the basketball back and waited as I took another shot before he gathered it and returned it."I was hoping to catch you here." he said looking around and spotting only Sage in the gym he visably relaxed. Presumably he was looking for my usual obnoxious bodyguard."Oh really." I giggled sheepishly."There is a party Friday night I was hoping you would accompany me?" he said. My heart skipped slightly and I couldn't help but smile broadly."I would love that." i added."Great I will text you." Anthony smiled just as the gym door flew open and Ben entered."What are you doing here it's Eoin's day." I snapped my mood changing right away.He looked from Anthony to me and back again his eyes dark."What are you doing here?" He asked Anthony his tone cold.He irked me so much I chose a dangerous road to anger him openly."Oh Ben shame you just missed out on the sex show where I was stripping and being a call girl not a Princess." I smirked. " I had just got my sports bra back on when you entered I wouldn't have bothered if I had known it was you and not my dear brother." I continued. Anthony looked terrified and Sage mumbled something from her position in the bleachers whilst shaking her head."Rori...." Ben warned his eyes lingering on my chest as he openly stared.Rolling my eyes at him before snapping."Oh shut up you dumb Bear we were playing basketball." I was exasperated as I threw the ball in my hands at Ben. Grabbing my bag and water bottle I stomped from the gym. Ben followed and I paused to allow Sage fall into step with me."Why do you always poke the bear?" She asked softly."I don't know." I mumbled as the bear in question suddenly stopped us."Have you a sweater?" He asked looking uncomfortably at my bare mid rift."Nope, Its hot." I replied shrugging as he pulled a sweater out of his bag and held it out to me. I folded my arms across my chest and glared at him."I am not wearing that." I snapped."There are paparazzi on the Palace road do you really think a sports bra and shorts are becoming for a Princess?" He asked."I'll be in your car who cares." I fought back. "You know this is becoming extremely tiresome Ben." I added pulling his stupid hoodie over my head. Ben was very tall and he had extremely broad shoulders with well defined muscles, his hair was black and soft and he had chocolate brown eyes. His hoodie swamped me like a dress and I inhaled his familiar scent which both comforted me and upset me in a confusing mix of emotions. I marched over to his black convertible and tossed my bag in the back seat and yanking open the passenger door I threw myself in slaming the door closed behind me."Hey." Ben protested at my treatment of his beloved vintage car. Sage climbed into the back in a more dignified manner."when did you become such a brat?" Ben asked turning the key in the ignition."When you became my father last summer and decided to try control me and treat me like a child." I replied kicking off my trainers and socks and putting my feet up on his dash."I do not control you." he muttered. "Take your feet down please." he added and I raised my eyebrow at him."No I will not." I smirked stretching my toes out defying him in a deliciously satisfying challenge. "If you do not control me then I shall place my feet where I like." I smiled widely at him as I could visably see him bristle. "You changed last summer Ben." I added."I had to change Rori and one day soon you will understand why I did." he whispered but with my shifter hearing I heard him clearly."You always treated me the same as Eoin. We were all equal and now....." I trailed off."And now what?" he urged."And now you are exactly like the others an Alpha who views women as weak or to be protected." I truthfully told him. "I always thought you were different Ben but you are just another man in my life with some possessive claim over me No man will ever own me and that includes my future mate." I told him as the car slowed at the Palace steps. I climbed out in my bare feet gathered my shoes and bag with one cold glance at Ben I simply said."Thank you for driving me home as my Father commands."Ben paused looking up at me slowly"and if you had the choice?" he asked me sincerely."I would walk myself and Sage home alone. I am just as capable as Eoin is." I slammed the car door knowing it bothered him "and i definitely wouldnt chose to get into your car" I spat turning and walking into the Palace.I walked to my fathers office and knocked before entering. I did however as I always did cover my eyes with my hand."Is it safe?" I asked."Yes." my father sighed. My parents were like two teenagers totally insatiable and having walked in on some situations that I could not unsee over the years I now was cautious."Emmett have you never learned to lock your damn door?" my Grandfather Alpha Williams voice filled the room as I pulled my hand down smiling. I ran to him as he stood to catch me in an embrace."Grandfather." I smiled feeling so safe in his arms. He regarded me as he held me at arms length taking in my attire and no doubt the masculine scent from Ben's jumper. He raised an eyebrow suspiciously at the jumper and I rolled my eyes."Its not what you think." I said as I pulled it off. "Apparently according to that dumb Bear my training clothes are not appropriate attire for a Princess." I added looking at my father."He means well........" my father began."Why do you always do that?" I asked my fury surging up. My father always seemed to side with Ben or have a weird understanding of his ridiculous behaviour."You always take his side." I added."Princess I don't and I will talk to him OK but he does mean well. We have all been through alot and he was very young when he and his Bear took it apon themselves to protect you kids and I think he has a hard time letting that role go." my father said softly as he sunk wearily into his desk chair."Whatever. Sort him out or I am going to post his dumb ass back to the mountains in an animal create." I said storming from the room."You can't do that Princess." He called as I went to sulk in my room.Ben. She had kicked off her trainers and placed her feet up on my dash. I instantly couldn't think of anything but her beautiful, toned, skin kissed, golden legs. I asked her to take her feet down but as usual Rori refused and continued on with her rant. I sighed what she was saying about me controlling her hurt me but I couldn't help it no matter how I tried. Seeing her earlier in the pink and black sports bra and black training shorts that hugged her curves had pushed my resolve at least when I got her into my hoodie my Bear backed down when he knew our scent was on her. I had always cared about Rori but last summer when I had turned nineteen and she had come closer to gaining her wolf it all suddenly changed. I suddenly dreamed about her at night, her scent of warm pancakes, honey had a new floral scent addition of Peonies that now tormented me. The day she showed her new unexpected womanly curves in a pale blue bikini had been seared into my brain. It was clear she still viewed
Rori. I dodged my mother's best friend Danny who was talking to some Palace gaurds as I slipped by. I sighed as I made it to my bedroom and leaned against my door. I let out the breath I was holding before I froze my mother's scent hit my nose. "Hello Rori." She said as I looked up to see her sitting on my bed watching me closely. "Mom." I smiled. "Where were you?" She asked softly. "You know you can go out Rori but I also only have one rule here and that's you need two warriors with you. I try hard to give you a normal life but there are conditions for your safety because I cannot change the fact that as a Princess risk hangs over you." she continued as she gathered me in her arms in a hug.I sighed I knew she was as fair as she could be given our unique situation but my mom had an odd definition of freedom."Mom I didn't go far. I was just with Ben." I added hoping being with Ben would make her worry less. "I know I can smell him all over you." she muttered as she stroked my ha
Ben. When Rori left me in the academy parking lot I wasn't sure what to do next. Kane was wound tighter then I ever remember him being. Eoin approached me with Sage and Ash in tow as he stopped and joined me leaning against the car door. "So did you get my sister to school in one piece or did you two fight and and she is now power walking here in anger alone?" he smirked as I paused not knowing what Rori had told him and how much he knew. "My father saw you two leave together this morning." Eoin added."Right." I muttered. "I got her here fine." I sighed grabbing my back pack and blazer. Normally it was Eoin I spoke to about this kind of stuff but I wasn't sure he would appreciate my current feelings about his sister. We walked to our first class tactical training and the subject of Rori wasn't mentioned again until we arrived in sparring. I changed into training gear in the locker room but having forgot my phone I doubled back and as I silently entered the changing room there I hea
SageI sat on the academy lawn with Ash, Dakota, Kayda and Daisy eating lunch in the warm sun. The older half had vanished which was not unusual nowadays, while we all usually hung out alot there were days when they felt things were going on that we were too young for. It infuriated me but usually Rori would relent and tell me anyway. As we got older the age gap stretched and we found ourselves being protected by older siblings and friends more and more. It bothered me and Ash more then anyone as we grew up in the Palace with the twins, and Ben. we were the ones in-between the two groups as my half sister Kayda, Dakota and Daisy were a year younger then us but still apparently Rori, Ben, Eoin, Arthur, Amira and Morgan were out growing us a little. However Ash and my sister Kayda were together always totally inseparable trouble makers.I spotted Arthur suddenly appearing on the far end of the lawn using his siren call he called me luring me over to him no one else noticed as I drifted
Rori. When I exited the lift and spotted Sir Anthony, I gave a nervous smile clutching my green cardigan and white purse. Eoin had joined Arthur as Sage walked to join them, it appeared that Ben wasn't going to drive there with them. "You look lovely." Sir Anthony approached and gave the required little curtsey. "Thanks." I smiled, taking his offered arm. Anthony drove me almost in an awkward silence to a lake house where the students were holding the party. It was someone's holiday home that they had taken over for the bash. The back lawn by the lake had a fire pit lit, and there were some kegs spread out. Some of the guys had gathered around a beer pong table and were already loudly cheering. Music blasted from speakers. "Let me grab you a drink?" Sir Anthony called over the noise as he walked away. I had instructed my Royal gaurd to stay out front, and I would call them if I needed them. They relented as the kids here were academy students and had all already been vetted. Anth
Ben. I stood under the shower and calmed Kane by assuring him Rori was safe and was now in our bed. I had told Eoin where I was taking her and informed him she was so drunk she had already passed out, but I would watch her and keep her safe. The word back was they had found Sir Anthony, and Eoin was on his way to explain it all to his father. I knew King Emmett was going to be so mad. I turned off the water and dried myself off, pulling on my boxer briefs and then a pair of basketball shorts that I had brought in with me. When I left the bathroom, I noticed Rori was awake and sitting up by her demeanor she still appeared drunk. You alright, Princess?" I asked as her eyes fixated on me and my naked chest, whilst I delighted at the lust now in her eyes it also scared me . Kneeling up, she moved towards me and then placed her hands on my shoulders, sending tingles down my body. "No." she mumbled as inwardly I groaned when she moved even closer. "I am not okay, Ben." she added. "I need
Rori. The re telling of the events with Sir Anthony was more stressful than the actual event. I began to sob, and I had begged my father to get Ben for me. I could see the range of emotions that passed through his eyes in that moment. The desperation to help his pup, the realisation I was growing up, the sadness I was no longer crying for him but another man and the one that baffled me most fear. My mother gave me a knowing smile and moved as soon as Ben entered. I didn't care who was there when I climbed into Ben lap and buried my head in his hard chest, breathing in the scent of marshmallows, maple syrup, and musky pine He played with my hair and I relaxed. I completed my explanation of the night before and at times could feel Kane's presence, but Ben kept him at bay. My own wolf swirled near the surface. "So this thing between you two?" My father sighed once the Elders had left."Dad." I mumbled, shifting uncomfortably on Ben's lap. "Do you two care to elaborate on last night now
Ben.I was surprised at how Rori being my mate had played out. whilst I knew the King would give us some ground rules, I never thought he would allow us to spend the night together. Even if it was only on weekends, it would help our animal side. Shifters being away from their mates could lead to them being out of control. I knew the King was fully aware of this, so he had in some ways been forced to accept us as mates. In fact, the King had been excusing my possessive mate like behaviour around his daughter for the past year. I did also know him and my father had been discussing this most of our lives since I had shifted super early and it was here in this very Palace, so it was always assumed it was because of my mate being nearby. Apparently in my toddler years I would pander to Rori's needs and would fight Eoin or James for making her cry so our parents had more then a hunch but as I grew I got better at concealing my adoration so it sowed a shred of doubt in their minds that maybe
Rori.(One Year Later) I watched as Teddy wobbled towards my laughing parents as they bent down to greet him. His chubby little hands out stretched to be picked up. He had only begun walking a few days prior right in time for his first birthday. My father was holding my now nearly one and half year old brother David, who was just as eager to see his little cousin. He reached for me as I scooped David up, and Ben and I note fussed over him as my parents did the same over their first grandchild. Eoin and Amira were next through the door with Amira carrying a large blue paper wrapped gift with a large silver bow. I greeted and embraced them warmly. Ash, my younger brother, arrived with my sister Victoria perched on his shoulders along with his best friend Kayda. James barreled in moments later with some random girlfriend he was passing the current week with. My aunt Daphne, Uncle Max, came next with their kids along with Danny and Dottie and their youngest Scarlet in Danny's arms. Once A
Ben"Isn't it perfect?" my mate cooed as she showed me the finishing touches on our cubs nursery. The pack was alive and buzzing with the news. We had spent the last few months getting our own house in Big Paw Pack ready, and this was the last room my mate had completed. She had taken extra care in picking every item that went into this room. She had pondered over every detail with amazement and happiness. "It's amazing." I agreed, but I was looking at her and not the room before me. I know it's a cliche, but my mate glowed, her red hair shone as it fell loose over her shoulders. She was wearing a pair of soft leggings and a soft off the shoulder beige jumper. Her rounded bump was now in full bloom, and I now fully understood the words I had heard her very own father say that he himself never loved his mate more than when she was carrying his pups. It all made sense to me now and despite the initial shock at our news, my now long since healed black eye from her twin brother when he fo
Rori. Since it was confirmed I was pregnant a few mere hours ago, I now felt it was so obvious. I was suddenly always starving it had to be psychological, right? I grumbled to myself. I was looking in my parents' fridge as I dug around, moving all her cheese. It would have been so simple if I shared my mother's pregnancy obsession with cheese, but sadly, I did not. I looked up with an excited expression when I scented Sage enter. "Sage." I called as I launched myself into her open arms. She giggled under my weight as she hugged me back. "Doughnuts?" She asked as I gasped. "Yes, thank god you're a life saver." I sighed as I grabbed some mugs and poured the freshly brewed coffee. "So what's been going on with you?" I asked through a mouthful of sugar glazed doughnuts icing that was now smeared across my lips. "A lot." Sage sighed. I paused my chewing. "Oh?" I said, encouraging her. "There's a guy." she sighed. "Oh, a guy?" I concealed my smile. "Anyone I know?" I asked. "No, h
BenSo there it was my whole life changed in the space of an afternoon. I had a secret feeling my mate wanted this more than I realised, and now two lines on a white stick had confirmed what we suspected. I was destined to be a young everything , I was a young shifter shifting at three years old in response to the presence of my mate and the issues in the royal pack at the time, I was a young mate, a young warrior and now it would seem I was to be a young father. I was really happy if all be it a little nervous. I hadn't even worked out how the bear pack would protect Rori, never mind a pregnant Rori. I also wondered when I should tell Aiden so he was aware of the added complications, but Rori had sworn me to silence while we were skinny dipping in our lake spot last night. She wanted it to be just our secret for now, but I did remind her wolves would smell it, and high-ranking wolves had a very good sense of smell. She hoped it would just come across as my scent, so I didn't disagree.
Rori. I smelled like him but more like him. What was he on about. I was slightly annoyed when he stopped kissing me and started sniffing me like he was on a mission. When he pressed his nose to the soft skin above my belly button, he looked up at me his eyes wide, and I stared back awkwardly. "No." I said aloud in my head, but conveniently, my wolf Tara was silent. I looked into Ben's face and I knew what he was thinking as I did the math on my last period and well it didn't work out in a number that allowed me to reasure him convincingly, with everything that had gone on in the past month and after my heat I hadn't kept track. He pressed his nose again to my stomach and breathed in my scent. "Well?" I asked him as he pulled away slightly. "Well, what?" he asked as I noticed his face was a little pale. "Well, we go get you your ice cream, wait and see at an appointment with Dr Teller, or we go to the drug store and get a test?" he responded. I pondered his options. "Drug store." I
Ben. The Vampire's report supported what my mate had suspected, and I was sure now she was right. Anthony had agreed to allow Madame Lux place him under a spell to replay his keys memories in an attempt to prove he thought he was acting on the moon Goddesses behalf and not his own plight for a higher title. I personally never liked the guy, but then he was a threat to my mate, so instinctively, we were never going to be best friends. The guys Arthur,Eoin, James, and Ash as Alpha's and Beta blood never felt the same as me. Now Rori was marked by me I didn't feel as strong in some ways but then I was reminded of him forcing himself on her and this was why I asked King Emmett and Beta Adam to leave me out of the deliberations regarding Anthony. They had agreed, and I was happy to leave it in the hands of her father. I was now sitting with my future Gamma Aiden as we went over Rori's new detail. I wanted to ask the King to remove his men from her service, but I needed to make sure she wa
Rori. Ben didn't give me shit about my quest to save Anthony he just supported me. After the council and my request for an in-depth look at exactly what Anthony was guilty of, he hadn't judged me. In fact, he had stated to the council when asked that he stood by me. What more could a girl want in a mate I laughed as Tara agreed. Big, tall, handsome body of Adonis and willing to stand by me. He had spent all evening making me forget, so by the time I was hungry enough to head to the kitchen where my parents sat, I felt like jelly. The bliss was running through my veins. "I brought you two up a plate from the pack hall." my mom called as I unwrapped the foil to peek inside. "Steak and baked potatoes." I told Ben as he nodded, and I loaded it into the oven to warm up. "I hear you want Anthony to be re investigated." My mom called from the seating area where she was cuddled up with my dad. I smiled for all the world they looked like two teenagers, my dad's hand resting on the slightly
BenI watched Rori bite her lip as she considered my question. What could she possibly be angling at here. "Rori?" I prompted, raising my eyebrow. "I have a strong feeling here, Ben, that Anthony isn't to blame." she sighed. I couldn't believe this when it came to Anthony she always had a soft spot for this overconfident idiot Alpha. He always irked me, and I was willing to bet that was the possessive nature in me, but to me, Anthony had no redeeming positives. "Rori, he led an attack on my pack." I said. "Our pack," I added, emphasising the our. She shook her head. "That's just it, Ben. I don't believe he led anything. Do we have solid proof that Anthony hurt anyone?" She said as my mouth fell open. "Rori, he tried to force himself on you to mark you forcefully." I reminded her, trying hard to keep the anger from my tone. "Yes, he did on his mother's orders, and under the belief he had held his whole life that he was doing what the moon goddess wanted." she replied. "That doesn
RoriYup, I was being childish. I knew this, but something about being back under my parents' roof always made me rivert back to a childish, moody teenager. I was well aware of this when I slammed my bedroom and was even more aware of it when I dramatically tossed myself face down on my bed, but I had committed now to the dramatic tantrum. I lay there alone whilst Tara laughed in my head about how weird human emotions were. I mean since my awakening as a mate I now could possibly guess exactly how my parents found themselves in this situation not that I didn't know the dynamics before its just now more clear and yuck a shudder ran through me. "I think the key here is not to put yourself and Ben in your parents' shoes." Tara chuckled in my head. "Oh goddess, shut up." I replied, burying my face in the pillows. After a while, I heard a gentle knock on my door, and my mother entered, holding a buttercream cake and two forks. She sat on the bed as I sat up she held out one of the forks
