Rori.
I dodged my mother's best friend Danny who was talking to some Palace gaurds as I slipped by. I sighed as I made it to my bedroom and leaned against my door. I let out the breath I was holding before I froze my mother's scent hit my nose."Hello Rori." She said as I looked up to see her sitting on my bed watching me closely."Mom." I smiled."Where were you?" She asked softly. "You know you can go out Rori but I also only have one rule here and that's you need two warriors with you. I try hard to give you a normal life but there are conditions for your safety because I cannot change the fact that as a Princess risk hangs over you." she continued as she gathered me in her arms in a hug.I sighed I knew she was as fair as she could be given our unique situation but my mom had an odd definition of freedom."Mom I didn't go far. I was just with Ben." I added hoping being with Ben would make her worry less."I know I can smell him all over you." she muttered as she stroked my hair before pulling back to look at me raising an eye. "Are you two?" She began suggestively."Its his jumper I got cold. We just went for ice cream" I cut her off rolling my eyes."Okay but is there something I should know?" She asked pushing the matter. I had a good relationship with my mother she was surprisingly easy going for the Queen. She knew Ben's sudden distance from our close friendship had devesated me. "Rori?" she asked a smirk on her face."there may have been a kiss." I blushed deciding being truthful with my mother was the key to alot of my freedom."A good kiss?" She smiled not looking too surprised."An amazing kiss?" I relented as she hugged me again."Charlie?" My father called."say nothing to your father, leave him to me. Alpha's are impossible when it comes to mates and daughters" she hissed kissing my fore head as she ran out of my room laughing. I sighed why did I feel like she was off to tell her friend Ben's mother Ivy and possibly to tease my father.I smiled as I took off Ben's hoodie and went to the bathroom to shower and warm up taking off my damp underwear set. The next morning I woke up to find myself huddled with Ben's jumper his scent was so soothing to me. He smelt of maple syrup, marshmallow and a masculine musky pine that was new but blended the scents together in a delicious mix. I lay there savouring it for a few minutes."Princess Rori." Ms Potter my Nanny called in her chirpy voice as she opened my curtains. "Good morning." She smiled as she watched me sit up."I am up thank you Ms Potter." I smiled as she left to tend to my siblings. I dressed in the academy blazer, pleated skirt, blouse and neck tie. I pulled on my white knee high socks and black Mary Jane shoes. I took extra care to curl my hair and left it fall down in red waves held in place with a black Alice headband. I had my mother's red hair and fair skin but instead of her green eyes I had my father's deep blue eyes. I put on light blush and the cherry lip gloss I liked. My phone beeped with a text messageBen: How did you sleep Princess?Me: well and you?Ben: great. Want to grab a coffee before class starts?Me: Sure I'm ready.Ben: great I am outside.I smiled as I sent Eoin a text asking him to meet Sage for me and to walk with her and Ash this morning without me. Grabbing my back pack I left and waving goodbye to Ms Potter I left the Palace. My parents were already up for the day no doubt in their offices, working out or in the Palace pack breakfast room so I was glad I didn't have to explain my very early departure to school. I bounced down the Palace steps and spotted Ben who was leaning against his black convertible with a smile on his face. He wore the school white button down shirt but it was open at the neck and his tie was loosely tied, the shirts sleeves were rolled up the his elbow and his blazer were slung over the back of his car seat. He seemed genuinely happy to see me and I felt some surge of joy inside me that wasn't purely my emotion, it made me pause slightly I instantly knew my wolf was close to waking."Morning Princess." He greeted me happily as he took my backpack and placed it next to his on the back seat. He held the door open and I jumped in. As we drove off I spotted my father watching us from the Palace lawn clearly just back from an early morning jog a look of interest on his face.We sat in the village coffee shop as I sipped my coffee and nibbled on the chocolate croissant Ben had brought me. My phone beeped again and I glanced at it.Anthony: pick you up at eight tonight for the party?I began to panic and Ben was looking at me closely I swallowed and slowly spoke."Its Anthony we were going to the party tonight." I said. Ben visably stiffened but appeared to be composing himself calmly."Okay." he said his face blank. "Are you still going with him?" he asked."No." a voice in my head said."No." I said aloud confused looking around to see who spoke."What?" Ben seemed shocked at my response as he to looked around strangely."Oh my god I just heard a voice in my head." I said excitedly as realisation washed over me."Your wolf maybe?" he asked."Maybe. She is not there now." I sighed as I took another sip of coffee."So are you going with Anthony to this party?" Ben asked softly."I said I would when he asked me." I said slightly worried. "You know Ben I really don't know what is going on here but I am just friends with Anthony." I added. "Why don't you come with us all." I suggested."I don't think I should Rori." Ben began but something in me made me really want him to come."Please." I asked softly looking up at him through my eyelashes. Ben paused his facial features softening as he reached out and placed his hand on mine."Okay." he sighed. "I'll go if you want me to." when he said it I thought I felt tingles in where our fingers met but as soon as I thought it they were gone."Thank you cuddly Bear." I whispered and he smiled."So when did Anthony ask you?" he smirked sipping his coffee. I looked at him trying to read his facial expression."yesterday in the gym." I sighed not wanting to lie to Ben anymore."That slippery little smug ...." he murmured. He looked up suddenly. "Ah the day you stripped for him?" he asked suddenly. I paused and sighed inwardly regretting my teasing of Ben."You know I didn't strip for him right?" I whispered and he looked at me before nodding"I know you were just getting to me Rori." he whispered back."I'm sorry." I smiled. "I will make it up to you." I added and I saw him visably become slightly uncomfortable, the wreckless side of me decided to push him. "How about a game of strip horse or strip twenty-one?" I smirked referring to the basketball practice games we use to play."Rori." he growled slightly his Bear flashing in his eyes."Bet Kane would play with me." I breathed out so only his shifter hearing could hear me. I knew deep down I was now playing with fire but something inside was making me do it. His scent washed over me again and I breathed in the maple, marshmallow and woodsy pine musk and my heart quickened. My eyes met Ben's and a strange feeling washed over me as he took my hand and led me from the coffee shop."Rori you have to stop your arousal is too much." he groaned as he pulled me into the side alley out of the prying eyes of passing villagers and worse potential picture takers."I can't Ben something is taking over my thoughts." I replied. Realisation flashed in Ben's eyes"Its your wolf don't fight her what does she want?" he asked softly. "What does she feel or need?" he added."You." I muttered as I felt her want and desire for Ben "she wants you." my voice sounded like a growl as it left me. I grabbed Ben and my lips found his like before he froze first as I kissed him with all I had and he responded. I poured the anger and hurt I felt over the past year into the emotion of the kiss, the love and care I had for Ben throughout our youth it all flooded the kiss. I felt a searing pain in my head and pulled away from him."Sorry." I mumbled pushing him back gently. "I don't know what is wrong with me. We should go. I have an English exam first thing." I added fixing my clothes and straightening my hair."Sure." Ben said as he followed me to his car. We drove in silence and once there I jumped out mumbling my thanks and running inside before he could say anymore I had left Ben standing a little confused in the parking lot.Thankfully I was able to complete the English exam even in my distracted state and once over I convinced Amira and Morgan to skip international language class and we met in our scheduled clearing in the academy forest. I sat on a log holding the tray of smoothies and lemon cake I had asked a warrior to get me from the village waiting for the girls to show. Sometimes being a Princess had its perks and having the odd young warrior go on a snack run was one of them. Whilst Sage was my best friend she was also only sixteen and some conversations required a more mature opinion. Morgan was well schooled in relationships and tended to bounce from boyfriend to boyfriend at already eighteen she was still looking for her mate. Amira was like me a Princess so her love life was more managed and she made careful decisions like I did, being with a warrior gaurd at all times including dates didn't breath a very romantic environment."This had better be good Princess because I am not on the best of terms with my father for skipping classes." Morgan announced as she crashed through a bush into the clearing."Then go back I can work this out with Amira." I shrugged."Yeah right." she snorted taking a strawberry smoothie and sitting on the tree stump beside me. Amira arrived then picking leaves from her hair and sighing."This better be good as a mermaid you know I hate trudging through the woods. It's so dirty." she sighed brushing dust off her shoes. I rolled my eyes and held out her peach smoothie which she took and joined me on the log. I took a sip from the mango one I had and thought about how and what to tell them."I've been kissing someone?" I sighed as Amira stopped and looked at me and Morgan nearly spit out her mouthful of lemon cake."Oh my god." She gasped. "So you finally got to kiss Anthony." Morgan smirked. "Sir Anthony is so perfect for you. So handsome and charming. So English." she gushed. "How did you get past your brother and the crypt keeper?" She asked. I swallowed another mouthful"I didn't." I sighed. They both looked at me completely confused. "Its Ben.""Where?" Amira asked looking for him in the clearing."No, it's Ben I have been kissing" I groaned. Both girls looked like the air had been sucked out of their lungs."Shut the fuck up!" Morgan recovered first. "Man mountain academy bad boy Ben?""Yeah." I ran a hand over my face."Well well the perfect Princess and the bad boy." she laughed."Bet he kisses like he means it." Amira giggled.I looked at Amira in slight shock but also slight jealousy bubbling up."What does that mean?" I asked"Oh yeah I bet Ben is a guy that just grabs you and kisses you so dirty no good boys here." Morgan joined in."Hey." I growled and both girls smirked."Welcome to the party Princess it seems your wolf is near." Morgan said. "We always knew you two would get it on. For god sake the sexual tension between you two is ancient." she laughed."Ben gets so pissed off when you stand next to another male the whole academy has bets going that you two are mates" she continued.I was shocked"You're kidding me right?" I snapped."Nope." Amira replied at least she looked a little ashamed."But I liked Anthony." I argued."No you liked Anthony because it gave you and Ben something to fight about." Morgan replied and I sat back and thought about what she was saying."Well this morning when I was with Ben before school my wolf was there and it was like she wanted him, has that ever happened you?" I asked Morgan. She slowly shook her head"No I mean if anything my wolf gets pissy that I wouldn't wait for my mate. she usually sulks when I kiss other guys." she said."When I am near Ben I have felt my wolf twice now and never at any other time. Its weird."Amira looked thoughtful"Maybe Ben is your mate Rori. I learnt the wolves that are fated are stronger with the mates nearby. Maybe your wolf is stronger next to Ben's Bear." she smiled. "Your aunt Daphne might no what is happening." she added as I nodded."You didn't want a mate though so what are you going to do now?" Morgan asked."I know." I sighed "but if Ben is my mate then something tells me I do want him. How could I not want Ben he has been with me my whole life." I said softly as they both nodded."How does it feel when he kisses you?" Amira whispered shyly."Amazing. Like no one else exists but him and me." I giggled."We need details." Morgan giggled. "When and where?" She demanded."Last night we got ice cream and drove to the watering hole and well we ended up swimming and we kissed." I shrugged."Skinny dipping? I bet he has a huge......" Morgan began but Amira shut her off."Morgan." she cried as I blushed and covered my face."Well Princess was it huge?" she pushed."I didn't see it...." I smirked as Morgans face fell "but it felt huge." I added as we descended into giggles.Ben. When Rori left me in the academy parking lot I wasn't sure what to do next. Kane was wound tighter then I ever remember him being. Eoin approached me with Sage and Ash in tow as he stopped and joined me leaning against the car door. "So did you get my sister to school in one piece or did you two fight and and she is now power walking here in anger alone?" he smirked as I paused not knowing what Rori had told him and how much he knew. "My father saw you two leave together this morning." Eoin added."Right." I muttered. "I got her here fine." I sighed grabbing my back pack and blazer. Normally it was Eoin I spoke to about this kind of stuff but I wasn't sure he would appreciate my current feelings about his sister. We walked to our first class tactical training and the subject of Rori wasn't mentioned again until we arrived in sparring. I changed into training gear in the locker room but having forgot my phone I doubled back and as I silently entered the changing room there I hea
SageI sat on the academy lawn with Ash, Dakota, Kayda and Daisy eating lunch in the warm sun. The older half had vanished which was not unusual nowadays, while we all usually hung out alot there were days when they felt things were going on that we were too young for. It infuriated me but usually Rori would relent and tell me anyway. As we got older the age gap stretched and we found ourselves being protected by older siblings and friends more and more. It bothered me and Ash more then anyone as we grew up in the Palace with the twins, and Ben. we were the ones in-between the two groups as my half sister Kayda, Dakota and Daisy were a year younger then us but still apparently Rori, Ben, Eoin, Arthur, Amira and Morgan were out growing us a little. However Ash and my sister Kayda were together always totally inseparable trouble makers.I spotted Arthur suddenly appearing on the far end of the lawn using his siren call he called me luring me over to him no one else noticed as I drifted
Rori. When I exited the lift and spotted Sir Anthony, I gave a nervous smile clutching my green cardigan and white purse. Eoin had joined Arthur as Sage walked to join them, it appeared that Ben wasn't going to drive there with them. "You look lovely." Sir Anthony approached and gave the required little curtsey. "Thanks." I smiled, taking his offered arm. Anthony drove me almost in an awkward silence to a lake house where the students were holding the party. It was someone's holiday home that they had taken over for the bash. The back lawn by the lake had a fire pit lit, and there were some kegs spread out. Some of the guys had gathered around a beer pong table and were already loudly cheering. Music blasted from speakers. "Let me grab you a drink?" Sir Anthony called over the noise as he walked away. I had instructed my Royal gaurd to stay out front, and I would call them if I needed them. They relented as the kids here were academy students and had all already been vetted. Anth
Ben. I stood under the shower and calmed Kane by assuring him Rori was safe and was now in our bed. I had told Eoin where I was taking her and informed him she was so drunk she had already passed out, but I would watch her and keep her safe. The word back was they had found Sir Anthony, and Eoin was on his way to explain it all to his father. I knew King Emmett was going to be so mad. I turned off the water and dried myself off, pulling on my boxer briefs and then a pair of basketball shorts that I had brought in with me. When I left the bathroom, I noticed Rori was awake and sitting up by her demeanor she still appeared drunk. You alright, Princess?" I asked as her eyes fixated on me and my naked chest, whilst I delighted at the lust now in her eyes it also scared me . Kneeling up, she moved towards me and then placed her hands on my shoulders, sending tingles down my body. "No." she mumbled as inwardly I groaned when she moved even closer. "I am not okay, Ben." she added. "I need
Rori. The re telling of the events with Sir Anthony was more stressful than the actual event. I began to sob, and I had begged my father to get Ben for me. I could see the range of emotions that passed through his eyes in that moment. The desperation to help his pup, the realisation I was growing up, the sadness I was no longer crying for him but another man and the one that baffled me most fear. My mother gave me a knowing smile and moved as soon as Ben entered. I didn't care who was there when I climbed into Ben lap and buried my head in his hard chest, breathing in the scent of marshmallows, maple syrup, and musky pine He played with my hair and I relaxed. I completed my explanation of the night before and at times could feel Kane's presence, but Ben kept him at bay. My own wolf swirled near the surface. "So this thing between you two?" My father sighed once the Elders had left."Dad." I mumbled, shifting uncomfortably on Ben's lap. "Do you two care to elaborate on last night now
Ben.I was surprised at how Rori being my mate had played out. whilst I knew the King would give us some ground rules, I never thought he would allow us to spend the night together. Even if it was only on weekends, it would help our animal side. Shifters being away from their mates could lead to them being out of control. I knew the King was fully aware of this, so he had in some ways been forced to accept us as mates. In fact, the King had been excusing my possessive mate like behaviour around his daughter for the past year. I did also know him and my father had been discussing this most of our lives since I had shifted super early and it was here in this very Palace, so it was always assumed it was because of my mate being nearby. Apparently in my toddler years I would pander to Rori's needs and would fight Eoin or James for making her cry so our parents had more then a hunch but as I grew I got better at concealing my adoration so it sowed a shred of doubt in their minds that maybe
RoriHis abrupt order went to my core and without thinking I stepped into the hot water as he pulled me to stradle his hard tighs, the wound on his shoulder was clearly healing now and whilst the skin was still open the bleeding had stopped. Some water sloshed over the tub sides onto the tiled floor. "I was so worried." I breathed as he reached up and played with the edging of my sports bra. "I know, baby, but I am fine." he smirked as he pulled my sports bra up and my ample breasts spilt out. Whilst I was petite like my mother, I was also well endowed thanks to my mothers goddess like genetics. I lifted my arms as he pulled it off over my head, tossing it across the room. His mouth found my nipples as his tongue swirled around one before teasing it with his teeth. I gasped and arched my back as he moved to the other breast. "So perfect." he murmured, and his hand now made its way to my shorts. He pushed his hand down the front of my gym shorts and into my knickers, finding my perf
Ben "I do have an idea." I smirked as she leaned in with interest and intrigue on her face. "I may have promised I wouldn't mark you until you were eighteen, but I am eighteen, and you made no such promise." I told her. "You want me to mark you?" She asked, surprised as she processed the loop hole i was suggesting. "Sure, why not that way, we are bonded and will feel each other, and we will complete the bond when I get back." I told her, cupping her face as I placed a gentle kiss on her lips. "You're an Alpha, and you would wear my mark without me wearing yours?" She asked, and I nodded. "I know weird right goes against all the toxic Alpha possessive behaviours of old. But it doesn't bother me. In fact, in my head, it's very logical." I replied. "Except for one problem." she responded as I pulled her to stradle me. My body's reaction to her was instant, and I loved it. "And what is that, Princess?" I murmured, tracing my hands under her top and up the silky smooth skin on the s
Rori.(One Year Later) I watched as Teddy wobbled towards my laughing parents as they bent down to greet him. His chubby little hands out stretched to be picked up. He had only begun walking a few days prior right in time for his first birthday. My father was holding my now nearly one and half year old brother David, who was just as eager to see his little cousin. He reached for me as I scooped David up, and Ben and I note fussed over him as my parents did the same over their first grandchild. Eoin and Amira were next through the door with Amira carrying a large blue paper wrapped gift with a large silver bow. I greeted and embraced them warmly. Ash, my younger brother, arrived with my sister Victoria perched on his shoulders along with his best friend Kayda. James barreled in moments later with some random girlfriend he was passing the current week with. My aunt Daphne, Uncle Max, came next with their kids along with Danny and Dottie and their youngest Scarlet in Danny's arms. Once A
Ben"Isn't it perfect?" my mate cooed as she showed me the finishing touches on our cubs nursery. The pack was alive and buzzing with the news. We had spent the last few months getting our own house in Big Paw Pack ready, and this was the last room my mate had completed. She had taken extra care in picking every item that went into this room. She had pondered over every detail with amazement and happiness. "It's amazing." I agreed, but I was looking at her and not the room before me. I know it's a cliche, but my mate glowed, her red hair shone as it fell loose over her shoulders. She was wearing a pair of soft leggings and a soft off the shoulder beige jumper. Her rounded bump was now in full bloom, and I now fully understood the words I had heard her very own father say that he himself never loved his mate more than when she was carrying his pups. It all made sense to me now and despite the initial shock at our news, my now long since healed black eye from her twin brother when he fo
Rori. Since it was confirmed I was pregnant a few mere hours ago, I now felt it was so obvious. I was suddenly always starving it had to be psychological, right? I grumbled to myself. I was looking in my parents' fridge as I dug around, moving all her cheese. It would have been so simple if I shared my mother's pregnancy obsession with cheese, but sadly, I did not. I looked up with an excited expression when I scented Sage enter. "Sage." I called as I launched myself into her open arms. She giggled under my weight as she hugged me back. "Doughnuts?" She asked as I gasped. "Yes, thank god you're a life saver." I sighed as I grabbed some mugs and poured the freshly brewed coffee. "So what's been going on with you?" I asked through a mouthful of sugar glazed doughnuts icing that was now smeared across my lips. "A lot." Sage sighed. I paused my chewing. "Oh?" I said, encouraging her. "There's a guy." she sighed. "Oh, a guy?" I concealed my smile. "Anyone I know?" I asked. "No, h
BenSo there it was my whole life changed in the space of an afternoon. I had a secret feeling my mate wanted this more than I realised, and now two lines on a white stick had confirmed what we suspected. I was destined to be a young everything , I was a young shifter shifting at three years old in response to the presence of my mate and the issues in the royal pack at the time, I was a young mate, a young warrior and now it would seem I was to be a young father. I was really happy if all be it a little nervous. I hadn't even worked out how the bear pack would protect Rori, never mind a pregnant Rori. I also wondered when I should tell Aiden so he was aware of the added complications, but Rori had sworn me to silence while we were skinny dipping in our lake spot last night. She wanted it to be just our secret for now, but I did remind her wolves would smell it, and high-ranking wolves had a very good sense of smell. She hoped it would just come across as my scent, so I didn't disagree.
Rori. I smelled like him but more like him. What was he on about. I was slightly annoyed when he stopped kissing me and started sniffing me like he was on a mission. When he pressed his nose to the soft skin above my belly button, he looked up at me his eyes wide, and I stared back awkwardly. "No." I said aloud in my head, but conveniently, my wolf Tara was silent. I looked into Ben's face and I knew what he was thinking as I did the math on my last period and well it didn't work out in a number that allowed me to reasure him convincingly, with everything that had gone on in the past month and after my heat I hadn't kept track. He pressed his nose again to my stomach and breathed in my scent. "Well?" I asked him as he pulled away slightly. "Well, what?" he asked as I noticed his face was a little pale. "Well, we go get you your ice cream, wait and see at an appointment with Dr Teller, or we go to the drug store and get a test?" he responded. I pondered his options. "Drug store." I
Ben. The Vampire's report supported what my mate had suspected, and I was sure now she was right. Anthony had agreed to allow Madame Lux place him under a spell to replay his keys memories in an attempt to prove he thought he was acting on the moon Goddesses behalf and not his own plight for a higher title. I personally never liked the guy, but then he was a threat to my mate, so instinctively, we were never going to be best friends. The guys Arthur,Eoin, James, and Ash as Alpha's and Beta blood never felt the same as me. Now Rori was marked by me I didn't feel as strong in some ways but then I was reminded of him forcing himself on her and this was why I asked King Emmett and Beta Adam to leave me out of the deliberations regarding Anthony. They had agreed, and I was happy to leave it in the hands of her father. I was now sitting with my future Gamma Aiden as we went over Rori's new detail. I wanted to ask the King to remove his men from her service, but I needed to make sure she wa
Rori. Ben didn't give me shit about my quest to save Anthony he just supported me. After the council and my request for an in-depth look at exactly what Anthony was guilty of, he hadn't judged me. In fact, he had stated to the council when asked that he stood by me. What more could a girl want in a mate I laughed as Tara agreed. Big, tall, handsome body of Adonis and willing to stand by me. He had spent all evening making me forget, so by the time I was hungry enough to head to the kitchen where my parents sat, I felt like jelly. The bliss was running through my veins. "I brought you two up a plate from the pack hall." my mom called as I unwrapped the foil to peek inside. "Steak and baked potatoes." I told Ben as he nodded, and I loaded it into the oven to warm up. "I hear you want Anthony to be re investigated." My mom called from the seating area where she was cuddled up with my dad. I smiled for all the world they looked like two teenagers, my dad's hand resting on the slightly
BenI watched Rori bite her lip as she considered my question. What could she possibly be angling at here. "Rori?" I prompted, raising my eyebrow. "I have a strong feeling here, Ben, that Anthony isn't to blame." she sighed. I couldn't believe this when it came to Anthony she always had a soft spot for this overconfident idiot Alpha. He always irked me, and I was willing to bet that was the possessive nature in me, but to me, Anthony had no redeeming positives. "Rori, he led an attack on my pack." I said. "Our pack," I added, emphasising the our. She shook her head. "That's just it, Ben. I don't believe he led anything. Do we have solid proof that Anthony hurt anyone?" She said as my mouth fell open. "Rori, he tried to force himself on you to mark you forcefully." I reminded her, trying hard to keep the anger from my tone. "Yes, he did on his mother's orders, and under the belief he had held his whole life that he was doing what the moon goddess wanted." she replied. "That doesn
RoriYup, I was being childish. I knew this, but something about being back under my parents' roof always made me rivert back to a childish, moody teenager. I was well aware of this when I slammed my bedroom and was even more aware of it when I dramatically tossed myself face down on my bed, but I had committed now to the dramatic tantrum. I lay there alone whilst Tara laughed in my head about how weird human emotions were. I mean since my awakening as a mate I now could possibly guess exactly how my parents found themselves in this situation not that I didn't know the dynamics before its just now more clear and yuck a shudder ran through me. "I think the key here is not to put yourself and Ben in your parents' shoes." Tara chuckled in my head. "Oh goddess, shut up." I replied, burying my face in the pillows. After a while, I heard a gentle knock on my door, and my mother entered, holding a buttercream cake and two forks. She sat on the bed as I sat up she held out one of the forks
