Ben.
When Rori left me in the academy parking lot I wasn't sure what to do next. Kane was wound tighter then I ever remember him being. Eoin approached me with Sage and Ash in tow as he stopped and joined me leaning against the car door."So did you get my sister to school in one piece or did you two fight and and she is now power walking here in anger alone?" he smirked as I paused not knowing what Rori had told him and how much he knew. "My father saw you two leave together this morning." Eoin added."Right." I muttered. "I got her here fine." I sighed grabbing my back pack and blazer. Normally it was Eoin I spoke to about this kind of stuff but I wasn't sure he would appreciate my current feelings about his sister. We walked to our first class tactical training and the subject of Rori wasn't mentioned again until we arrived in sparring. I changed into training gear in the locker room but having forgot my phone I doubled back and as I silently entered the changing room there I heard Sir Anthony talking to his friends in the shower area."Tonight is the night fellas." he laughed loudly. "Finally I have got the Princess where I want her." he boasted. Whilst this was sadly common chat in the boys locker room it wasn't common that Rori be the topic of conversation. I fought to keep Kane down as he continued and i moved to hide."She is perfect Father will be thrilled that I have her on my arm she is the king and Queens prized daughter a true born Luna. I will seal the deal with her tonight and she will be mine." he whispered to his nearest friend."But she hasn't turned eighteen and you know she is not your mate." he answered."Which is why I have this." he smirked. "One drop of this and she will do whatever I ask her to do." his friends laughed. "May as well start our relationship as I mean it to go on." He sniggered."Exactly." the boys whooped."I just need you lot to keep that stupid Bear Ben and the over protective future King Eoin busy at this party tonight." he closed his locker door. "To be with Princess Rori Sinclair will be the crowning jewel to my families empire.""You got it." the boys replied. I breathed in and out quietly as they left I was internally fighting to stop Kane coming out and ripping their heads off. Once the locker room was silent I stepped out of the shadows and grabbing my phone I followed Sir Asshole and his friends out. I always thought my dislike of Anthony was primal because we both liked the same girl and he was technically a friend of ours but to hear him speak so candidly about her as if she was property and nothing more than a power move was a shock. Even I didn't calculate this was anything other then that he liked her, growing up we all knew that our connections and titles would encourage power hungery people to try befriend us but I thought we had surrounded ourselves with genuine people. I walked out to stand with Eoin and Arthur as we watched the two wolves called out by the trainer to demonstrate a pin hold. I half paid attention but as Eoin, Arthur and myself had years of private training with the Kings warriors this class was a mere formality."I need to talk to you two." I muttered to them."Okay. Private Royal Alpha stuff?" Arthur asked."yeah." I nodded."Meet you at the spot after this?" Eoin responded as I nodded before slipping away. I made my way to the clearing in the forest and it was there her scent hit me as I ducked behind a tree. I made sure I was down wind from the clearing so they wouldn't pick on my own scent. I could hear her laughing and my heart paused it was the most beautiful sound. Amira and Morgan were with her judging by the other voices and scents i could pick up on the breeze. I heard a twig snap and turned to see Eoin I motioned for him to be quiet and he sniffed the air nodding as he realised the clearing wasn't empty. We leaned in to listen to the girls"I know." Rori was saying "but if Ben is my mate then something tells me I do want him. How could I not want Ben he has been with me my whole life." my heart nearly lurched out of my chest as I heard my name and what she said next. I held my breath as even Kane who had pushed forward in my mind to hear stayed quiet and still."How does it feel when he kisses you?" Amira whispered but it was clear to my enhanced shifter hearing but I was also hyper aware it was clear to Eoin's advanced Alpha hearing too."Amazing. Like no one else exists but him and me." My Princess giggled as her brother stiffened slightly. I closed my eyes I now had alot of explaining to do to my best friend."We need details." Morgan giggled. "When and where?" She demanded loudly. Now I was nervous Eoin was going to get details depending on how much Rori told the girls. I prayed a silent prayer to the moon goddess she wouldn't give too many but I suspected there was little these girls didn't talk about or tell each other."Last night we got ice cream and drove to the watering hole and well we ended up swimming and we kissed." She stated as my eyes locked with Eoins who now did not appear happy as he folded his arms on his chest."Skinny dipping? I bet he has a huge......" Morgan began but Amira shut her off and I thanked my lucky stars."Morgan." she cried as I nearly collapsed at this new turn in the conversation seeing Eoins demeanor now turn slightly menacing."Well Princess was it huge?" Morgan pushed. Whilst I was nervous and gulped I was intrigued at what she would say. The teenage boy in me was holding alot of weight on this immature question."I didn't see it...." Rori said laughter in her voice "but it felt huge." She added as they broke out in laughter just as Eoin lunged for me and we crashed into a bush. I grabbed him using Kane's strenght to pin him and covered his mouth to keep him quiet. The girls assuming that Amira or Rori's royal gaurds had found them and were near to catching them took off from the clearing back towards the academy running whilst still laughing. Once the girls were well out of ear shot I relaxed my hold on Eoin as Arthur appeared from the forest looking at us both strangely. Eoin pushed me hard and I fell back."You are some asshole do know that?" he yelled."What is going on?" Arthur asked completely puzzled."He is sleeping with my sister." Eoin spat pulling himself upright.I held my hands up and shook my head"Eoin I haven't slept with your sister." I began as Arthur's eyes were wide with shock."But you bloody kissed her right?" he yelled angerly."Technically she kissed me both times." I began but Eoin was fuming now."More then once." he growled. "and clearly more then kissing."I shook my head"No I swear......" I tried again."Liar." Eoin spat. "We all heard her and how she felt your .....""Stop." I begged him not to finish that sentence"That was more a close proximity thing and not a physical act thing." I said sheepishly trying to find the least vulger words to relate the scenario to her brother and my best friend but it was too late."Your dead." Eoin lunged for me again. "Come on fight back Alpha verses Alpha." he yelled as he swung at me and his fist connected with my jaw. I stood back up as he crouched in a fighting stance, I stood facing him with my arms by my sides."Why won't you fight me?" he yelled as he hit me again this time he landed the punch on my nose. Arthur stepped between us."That's it apparently there was two kisses and he has taken two well deserved punches." he said firmly."Agreed I deserved that." I nodded holding the bridge of my nose as the blood flowed."How could you?" Eoin asked."Oh come on Eoin." Arthur scoffed. "We all knew this was bloody coming." he added. "They have been inseparable since they met. He kicked your arse many a time for upsetting her. It was clear there was something between them." he replied and Eoin looked deflated."Yea they were best friends he protected her but this is different." Eoin argued."Eoin you could cut the sexual tension between them as long back as I remember, every guy in the academy has been warned away from her by Kane." Arthur laughed. "What did you think was going on?"Eoin looked slightly bewildered as he thought it over."I don't know but I never thought this, that he would be with her. It's not something I like to think about my sister like that with anyone." he sighed the gravity of the situation hung between us. "I mean of all people I thought he would never....." he trailed off unable to finish the sentence. "I know I am sorry." I said. "I didn't mean for it to happen this way either.""Are you mates?" he asked after a few moments of silence whilst we all digested the recent events."Yes, I think we are." I admitted."How do you know?" he pushed."I think on some level I have always known Eoin. Then last year when I turned eighteen her scent changed she always to me smelt of warm pancakes and honey but last year there was a new scent of floral Peonies and together it is amazing." I sighed."She smells of honey to me but I never got the floral scent." Arthur muttered."Same." Eoin sighed."Meaning it is her distinctive mate scent." Arthur added we had wandered to the clearing now sitting on the logs arranged there. Her scent still hung in the air slightly."Most likely." I nodded "and lately it's been getting stronger and she admitted this morning she feels her wolf when she is near me and Kane.""Great." Eoin muttered bitterly.my temper flared slightly"I know it's not ideal man but who would you prefer for her that idiot Sir Anthony?" I snapped."Is it cruel to say I was hoping she would be mateless forever." Eoin muttered."Yes." Arthur and I responded together."Oh you would be okay with Amira getting her mate?" Eoin asked Arthur wide eyed."Its not like I get a say Eoin. If its her mate nothing I can do about it. Would you give up your mate because it upset your sister?" he asked."No." Eoin mumbled"In fact I often wondered was Amira your mate." Arthur admitted."What?" Eoin asked."Well we are down the rabbit hole now boys we may aswell speak freely. " I laughed throwing my hands in the air."I see how you look at her." Arthur added slightly accusingly.Eoin looked taken a back but truth was I had see how he looked at Amira too and I knew half the reason I got away with my own looks to his sister Rori was because his attention was on Amira."I don't think she is my mate, she is just really pretty and smart." Eoin conceded slightly defeated. Leaving that hanging in the air between us for a few moments no one said anything. Truth was Eoin hadn't got his wolf so he wouldn't know if Amira was his mate and Sirens didn't take a mate until twenty one so he wouldn't know until then potentially what if any outcome could be as they weren't wolves or shifters he wouldn't scent her but then again the moon goddess may have someone else in mind all together."Well can I now tell you two what I just found out?" I sighed and they nodded.I told them all about Sir Anthony and what I had over heard and neither boy was impressed."So what is the plan?" Arthur asked."Besides I try not to kill him?" I asked."You can't my sister likes him despite whatever is going on between you two now if you hurt him you hurt her. He is technically our friend after all." Eoin sighed watching me bristle at the fact Rori had a soft spot for Anthony. "Sorry facts are facts." he shrugged."I know." I sighed.Arthur seemed pensive"I think first things first is we get whatever is in his locker and swap it out for something we know is safe. That way when he is with Rori tonight she will at least have her own mind and sense." He said as I nodded."Okay and how do you plan on getting into his locker?" I asked."You two keep an eye on Sir Anthony and his minions and myself and a little witch I know will do the rest." he smiled getting up. Eoin and I nodded as Arthur disappeared."You know I didn't plan it you know that right?" I said to him. Eoin regarded me slowly."I know but you just wait until some guy defiles your sister" he replied and I shuddered."Can you not use the word defile." I snapped. "I did not defile your sister and besides that's different." I added."So I can kiss Dakota?" he asked referring to my sixteen year old sister. A growl ripped from my chest before I could stop it."No its different." I said annoyed as I forced Kane back down.Eoin smirked as we began to walk through the dense bush to the academy."Why?"I swallowed "Because we are mates?" I bit back."Okay so if Dakota is my mate I can take her skinny dipping at the watering hole and we can make out in close enough proximity for her to feel......""Eoin." I growled as he stopped in his tracks. "I get it okay but I am begging you not to finish that sentence. " I grumbled scrubbing the image from my mind.Eoin laughed"Why is it bothering you?" he asked."No but you are destroying the hottest encounter I have ever had. Her legs wrapped around my........" I smirked."Stop." he yelled as he held his hand out. "Truce?" he asked as I smirked."Truce." I agreed feeling we both had a fair dose of our own medicine."You know if this goes wrong and he goes trough with his plan you will have to kill me to stop me killing him." I said in a serious tone."I know but I won't tell I will say it was me." he replied as I looked at him. "As the crown Prince I will get away with it." he added. I smiled despite everything Eoin was the kind of best friend that would help you hide a dead body.SageI sat on the academy lawn with Ash, Dakota, Kayda and Daisy eating lunch in the warm sun. The older half had vanished which was not unusual nowadays, while we all usually hung out alot there were days when they felt things were going on that we were too young for. It infuriated me but usually Rori would relent and tell me anyway. As we got older the age gap stretched and we found ourselves being protected by older siblings and friends more and more. It bothered me and Ash more then anyone as we grew up in the Palace with the twins, and Ben. we were the ones in-between the two groups as my half sister Kayda, Dakota and Daisy were a year younger then us but still apparently Rori, Ben, Eoin, Arthur, Amira and Morgan were out growing us a little. However Ash and my sister Kayda were together always totally inseparable trouble makers.I spotted Arthur suddenly appearing on the far end of the lawn using his siren call he called me luring me over to him no one else noticed as I drifted
Rori. When I exited the lift and spotted Sir Anthony, I gave a nervous smile clutching my green cardigan and white purse. Eoin had joined Arthur as Sage walked to join them, it appeared that Ben wasn't going to drive there with them. "You look lovely." Sir Anthony approached and gave the required little curtsey. "Thanks." I smiled, taking his offered arm. Anthony drove me almost in an awkward silence to a lake house where the students were holding the party. It was someone's holiday home that they had taken over for the bash. The back lawn by the lake had a fire pit lit, and there were some kegs spread out. Some of the guys had gathered around a beer pong table and were already loudly cheering. Music blasted from speakers. "Let me grab you a drink?" Sir Anthony called over the noise as he walked away. I had instructed my Royal gaurd to stay out front, and I would call them if I needed them. They relented as the kids here were academy students and had all already been vetted. Anth
Ben. I stood under the shower and calmed Kane by assuring him Rori was safe and was now in our bed. I had told Eoin where I was taking her and informed him she was so drunk she had already passed out, but I would watch her and keep her safe. The word back was they had found Sir Anthony, and Eoin was on his way to explain it all to his father. I knew King Emmett was going to be so mad. I turned off the water and dried myself off, pulling on my boxer briefs and then a pair of basketball shorts that I had brought in with me. When I left the bathroom, I noticed Rori was awake and sitting up by her demeanor she still appeared drunk. You alright, Princess?" I asked as her eyes fixated on me and my naked chest, whilst I delighted at the lust now in her eyes it also scared me . Kneeling up, she moved towards me and then placed her hands on my shoulders, sending tingles down my body. "No." she mumbled as inwardly I groaned when she moved even closer. "I am not okay, Ben." she added. "I need
Rori. The re telling of the events with Sir Anthony was more stressful than the actual event. I began to sob, and I had begged my father to get Ben for me. I could see the range of emotions that passed through his eyes in that moment. The desperation to help his pup, the realisation I was growing up, the sadness I was no longer crying for him but another man and the one that baffled me most fear. My mother gave me a knowing smile and moved as soon as Ben entered. I didn't care who was there when I climbed into Ben lap and buried my head in his hard chest, breathing in the scent of marshmallows, maple syrup, and musky pine He played with my hair and I relaxed. I completed my explanation of the night before and at times could feel Kane's presence, but Ben kept him at bay. My own wolf swirled near the surface. "So this thing between you two?" My father sighed once the Elders had left."Dad." I mumbled, shifting uncomfortably on Ben's lap. "Do you two care to elaborate on last night now
Ben.I was surprised at how Rori being my mate had played out. whilst I knew the King would give us some ground rules, I never thought he would allow us to spend the night together. Even if it was only on weekends, it would help our animal side. Shifters being away from their mates could lead to them being out of control. I knew the King was fully aware of this, so he had in some ways been forced to accept us as mates. In fact, the King had been excusing my possessive mate like behaviour around his daughter for the past year. I did also know him and my father had been discussing this most of our lives since I had shifted super early and it was here in this very Palace, so it was always assumed it was because of my mate being nearby. Apparently in my toddler years I would pander to Rori's needs and would fight Eoin or James for making her cry so our parents had more then a hunch but as I grew I got better at concealing my adoration so it sowed a shred of doubt in their minds that maybe
RoriHis abrupt order went to my core and without thinking I stepped into the hot water as he pulled me to stradle his hard tighs, the wound on his shoulder was clearly healing now and whilst the skin was still open the bleeding had stopped. Some water sloshed over the tub sides onto the tiled floor. "I was so worried." I breathed as he reached up and played with the edging of my sports bra. "I know, baby, but I am fine." he smirked as he pulled my sports bra up and my ample breasts spilt out. Whilst I was petite like my mother, I was also well endowed thanks to my mothers goddess like genetics. I lifted my arms as he pulled it off over my head, tossing it across the room. His mouth found my nipples as his tongue swirled around one before teasing it with his teeth. I gasped and arched my back as he moved to the other breast. "So perfect." he murmured, and his hand now made its way to my shorts. He pushed his hand down the front of my gym shorts and into my knickers, finding my perf
Ben "I do have an idea." I smirked as she leaned in with interest and intrigue on her face. "I may have promised I wouldn't mark you until you were eighteen, but I am eighteen, and you made no such promise." I told her. "You want me to mark you?" She asked, surprised as she processed the loop hole i was suggesting. "Sure, why not that way, we are bonded and will feel each other, and we will complete the bond when I get back." I told her, cupping her face as I placed a gentle kiss on her lips. "You're an Alpha, and you would wear my mark without me wearing yours?" She asked, and I nodded. "I know weird right goes against all the toxic Alpha possessive behaviours of old. But it doesn't bother me. In fact, in my head, it's very logical." I replied. "Except for one problem." she responded as I pulled her to stradle me. My body's reaction to her was instant, and I loved it. "And what is that, Princess?" I murmured, tracing my hands under her top and up the silky smooth skin on the s
Rori. My mother knocked on my bedroom door"Rise and shine, Princess," she called as she opened it. "School today, Rori. I can't swing another heart broken mental health day for you." she added as she walked over to sit next to me on the bed. I wiped sleep from my eyes and groaned as I stretched "I don't want to, Mom. I am so tired." I sighed sadly."I know, sweetheart, but as a Luna, a Princess or a Queen mated to an Alpha, you have to keep going even when they are away. It's hard the mate bond makes you want them, and whilst I am surprised without marking each other, you feel it so strongly that i can only tell you one thing, Princess. " she smiled as I sat up. "Whats that?" I asked. "Suck it up and get your ass out of bed." she added. "You need to be strong and do what needs to be done whilst Ben is away. So school, family, and friends are your priority now." she said, standing up. "Get showered and dressed your Father expects you at breakfast." she told me as she left, closing
Rori.(One Year Later) I watched as Teddy wobbled towards my laughing parents as they bent down to greet him. His chubby little hands out stretched to be picked up. He had only begun walking a few days prior right in time for his first birthday. My father was holding my now nearly one and half year old brother David, who was just as eager to see his little cousin. He reached for me as I scooped David up, and Ben and I note fussed over him as my parents did the same over their first grandchild. Eoin and Amira were next through the door with Amira carrying a large blue paper wrapped gift with a large silver bow. I greeted and embraced them warmly. Ash, my younger brother, arrived with my sister Victoria perched on his shoulders along with his best friend Kayda. James barreled in moments later with some random girlfriend he was passing the current week with. My aunt Daphne, Uncle Max, came next with their kids along with Danny and Dottie and their youngest Scarlet in Danny's arms. Once A
Ben"Isn't it perfect?" my mate cooed as she showed me the finishing touches on our cubs nursery. The pack was alive and buzzing with the news. We had spent the last few months getting our own house in Big Paw Pack ready, and this was the last room my mate had completed. She had taken extra care in picking every item that went into this room. She had pondered over every detail with amazement and happiness. "It's amazing." I agreed, but I was looking at her and not the room before me. I know it's a cliche, but my mate glowed, her red hair shone as it fell loose over her shoulders. She was wearing a pair of soft leggings and a soft off the shoulder beige jumper. Her rounded bump was now in full bloom, and I now fully understood the words I had heard her very own father say that he himself never loved his mate more than when she was carrying his pups. It all made sense to me now and despite the initial shock at our news, my now long since healed black eye from her twin brother when he fo
Rori. Since it was confirmed I was pregnant a few mere hours ago, I now felt it was so obvious. I was suddenly always starving it had to be psychological, right? I grumbled to myself. I was looking in my parents' fridge as I dug around, moving all her cheese. It would have been so simple if I shared my mother's pregnancy obsession with cheese, but sadly, I did not. I looked up with an excited expression when I scented Sage enter. "Sage." I called as I launched myself into her open arms. She giggled under my weight as she hugged me back. "Doughnuts?" She asked as I gasped. "Yes, thank god you're a life saver." I sighed as I grabbed some mugs and poured the freshly brewed coffee. "So what's been going on with you?" I asked through a mouthful of sugar glazed doughnuts icing that was now smeared across my lips. "A lot." Sage sighed. I paused my chewing. "Oh?" I said, encouraging her. "There's a guy." she sighed. "Oh, a guy?" I concealed my smile. "Anyone I know?" I asked. "No, h
BenSo there it was my whole life changed in the space of an afternoon. I had a secret feeling my mate wanted this more than I realised, and now two lines on a white stick had confirmed what we suspected. I was destined to be a young everything , I was a young shifter shifting at three years old in response to the presence of my mate and the issues in the royal pack at the time, I was a young mate, a young warrior and now it would seem I was to be a young father. I was really happy if all be it a little nervous. I hadn't even worked out how the bear pack would protect Rori, never mind a pregnant Rori. I also wondered when I should tell Aiden so he was aware of the added complications, but Rori had sworn me to silence while we were skinny dipping in our lake spot last night. She wanted it to be just our secret for now, but I did remind her wolves would smell it, and high-ranking wolves had a very good sense of smell. She hoped it would just come across as my scent, so I didn't disagree.
Rori. I smelled like him but more like him. What was he on about. I was slightly annoyed when he stopped kissing me and started sniffing me like he was on a mission. When he pressed his nose to the soft skin above my belly button, he looked up at me his eyes wide, and I stared back awkwardly. "No." I said aloud in my head, but conveniently, my wolf Tara was silent. I looked into Ben's face and I knew what he was thinking as I did the math on my last period and well it didn't work out in a number that allowed me to reasure him convincingly, with everything that had gone on in the past month and after my heat I hadn't kept track. He pressed his nose again to my stomach and breathed in my scent. "Well?" I asked him as he pulled away slightly. "Well, what?" he asked as I noticed his face was a little pale. "Well, we go get you your ice cream, wait and see at an appointment with Dr Teller, or we go to the drug store and get a test?" he responded. I pondered his options. "Drug store." I
Ben. The Vampire's report supported what my mate had suspected, and I was sure now she was right. Anthony had agreed to allow Madame Lux place him under a spell to replay his keys memories in an attempt to prove he thought he was acting on the moon Goddesses behalf and not his own plight for a higher title. I personally never liked the guy, but then he was a threat to my mate, so instinctively, we were never going to be best friends. The guys Arthur,Eoin, James, and Ash as Alpha's and Beta blood never felt the same as me. Now Rori was marked by me I didn't feel as strong in some ways but then I was reminded of him forcing himself on her and this was why I asked King Emmett and Beta Adam to leave me out of the deliberations regarding Anthony. They had agreed, and I was happy to leave it in the hands of her father. I was now sitting with my future Gamma Aiden as we went over Rori's new detail. I wanted to ask the King to remove his men from her service, but I needed to make sure she wa
Rori. Ben didn't give me shit about my quest to save Anthony he just supported me. After the council and my request for an in-depth look at exactly what Anthony was guilty of, he hadn't judged me. In fact, he had stated to the council when asked that he stood by me. What more could a girl want in a mate I laughed as Tara agreed. Big, tall, handsome body of Adonis and willing to stand by me. He had spent all evening making me forget, so by the time I was hungry enough to head to the kitchen where my parents sat, I felt like jelly. The bliss was running through my veins. "I brought you two up a plate from the pack hall." my mom called as I unwrapped the foil to peek inside. "Steak and baked potatoes." I told Ben as he nodded, and I loaded it into the oven to warm up. "I hear you want Anthony to be re investigated." My mom called from the seating area where she was cuddled up with my dad. I smiled for all the world they looked like two teenagers, my dad's hand resting on the slightly
BenI watched Rori bite her lip as she considered my question. What could she possibly be angling at here. "Rori?" I prompted, raising my eyebrow. "I have a strong feeling here, Ben, that Anthony isn't to blame." she sighed. I couldn't believe this when it came to Anthony she always had a soft spot for this overconfident idiot Alpha. He always irked me, and I was willing to bet that was the possessive nature in me, but to me, Anthony had no redeeming positives. "Rori, he led an attack on my pack." I said. "Our pack," I added, emphasising the our. She shook her head. "That's just it, Ben. I don't believe he led anything. Do we have solid proof that Anthony hurt anyone?" She said as my mouth fell open. "Rori, he tried to force himself on you to mark you forcefully." I reminded her, trying hard to keep the anger from my tone. "Yes, he did on his mother's orders, and under the belief he had held his whole life that he was doing what the moon goddess wanted." she replied. "That doesn
RoriYup, I was being childish. I knew this, but something about being back under my parents' roof always made me rivert back to a childish, moody teenager. I was well aware of this when I slammed my bedroom and was even more aware of it when I dramatically tossed myself face down on my bed, but I had committed now to the dramatic tantrum. I lay there alone whilst Tara laughed in my head about how weird human emotions were. I mean since my awakening as a mate I now could possibly guess exactly how my parents found themselves in this situation not that I didn't know the dynamics before its just now more clear and yuck a shudder ran through me. "I think the key here is not to put yourself and Ben in your parents' shoes." Tara chuckled in my head. "Oh goddess, shut up." I replied, burying my face in the pillows. After a while, I heard a gentle knock on my door, and my mother entered, holding a buttercream cake and two forks. She sat on the bed as I sat up she held out one of the forks
