Hey! I am back to posting more, it will take me time to get back into the rhythm.
Amaya Walking into the castle, it looked as if it was an ancient Roman chapel. The windows had stained glass with different artworks and designs. We stopped in front of a foyer that had two sets of stairs that split into two with staggered chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The pillars that held everything up seemed to have been renovated, but they still gave off the vibe of an old castle. Lynda stopped in front of me and turned with a grin-eating smile. Lynda and Isabel didn’t give me a reason not to trust them but ever since I became part of the world someone has been trying to hurt me or kill me. “You don’t have to be afraid. The smell of fear is basically pouring out of you” Lynda said looking me up and down. I frowned my eyebrows and looked at her as if she was insane, with the question of how someone can smell an emotion. “Lynda specializes in empathy. She spent years learning to read people” Erica says walking right to me. “I don’t take offense to it, you’ve been through
AmayaIn a land where no one needed or wanted anything for you. It seemed so close yet so far. A field filled with blue roses that were rare to see grow. I walk in a white dress that reaches my feet. I touch and admire all the petals, I feel a drop of water on my head. I looked up and it was a perfect blue sky. Then another drop, then another, and another. They kept coming and coming. Until I snapped out of it.I was rudely woken up. I flicked my eyes to open up and I saw my little sister standing there. With a spray bottle."What are you doing?""Mom told me to wake you up""So you got the spray bottle?" I say getting a little heated."Yes?" she said getting ready to run as she should.I quickly got out of bed but by then she had already dashed down the hall and the stairs. Once I caught up to her she was hiding behind my mom."WOW. What are you running for?" she asked looking at me."That thing sprayed me with water," I told her pointing at the little girl sticking her tongue out."O
Jasper I'm tired. Tired of looking for her, Tired of the pressure, Just. Tired I was looking from the balcony window, out onto the large land. My father had sent me on another trip to find my mate. But once again, I come up empty-handed. I have been looking for her ever since I turned twenty, it will be a year in four months. I was so lost in thought, I didn't hear my name being called. I turned around to see my beta standing in the room. " Are you packed?" He asked "Yeah, everything is downstairs," I told him "You sure?" he asked. He always got scared that I would leave something like I'm a child. "Yes, now let's go." We walked downstairs to say goodbye to the alpha family that let us stay there. Since I have alpha blood I will be mated with someone with a high ranking. I could care less about her ranking. But she wasn't here. At the bottom of the stairs, the alpha family waited for us. I came here to see if any girls on their land were my mate but no one stood out. The fa
AmayaI slowly became more aware of where I was. I could feel something under me, maybe one of my friends found me. Or was I dead and thought I'm on a bed?I started to force myself to try and open my eyes it was easier than I thought it would be. Once they were opened I started to look around, I was not in the hospital. I sat up in the very big king-size bed, and I look around the room. To my right was a door that I look like led to the bathroom.I looked in front of me and saw a door that looked like it was the closet dresser, more to the right there was a huge tv on it and more to the left there was a door that looked like it lead the outside. I turned to the big glass door that leads to a balcony. I could smell a weak scent of cinnamon and apple. The more I smelt it, the more I wanted it.I started to hear footsteps coming closer and closer. I quickly stood up on went next to the door, to surprise the person. My dad said the element of surprise was great when trying to escape. My p
Jasper I shouldn't have told her like that. I looked into her eyes and I saw so many emotions in them. The confusion is the biggest. She had gotten off of the bed and stood there looking at me like I was crazy. "I think you should leave," she told me in a panicking voice "I can't, not until you believe me," I told her "I don't believe you and if you don't leave I'm going to start screaming," she said in a voice that sounded like she was challenging me. "Amaya-" I said getting off of the bed and getting closer to her. That's when I heard the most ear-bleeding scream ever. I quickly put my hands to my ears to cover them. Thanks to my super hearing it made it ten times worse. "OK, OK. I'm leaving." I yelled over her screams. Once I said that she stopped. I looked at her one more time and left. I stopped at the door. "When your ready I can explain," I told her without looking back with my hands in my pocket. I walked out of the door and closed it. I hit my head on the closed doo
Amaya I was put in a hard place. I didn't know what to do. His hand on my face felt so right, yet so wrong. I just met the guy, he had kidnapped me and held me as I cried. I moved my head to the side so now his face was next to the right side of my face. Then he chuckled. "I wasn't going to kiss you, I was just proving my point," he said backing up, I missed the feeling of his hands on me and his body warmth. I turned to him confused once again. "What?" "You felt the sparks this proves that we are mates and that you're a shifter," he said and I think I heard hope in his voice. But I still didn't believe the werewolves or shifters whatever they're called. I guess he saw the disbelief still in my eyes. His face slowly went hard. His body stiffened and his eyes got darker. "You still don't believe," he said more like a statement than a question. "No, I'm-" he grabbed my wrist before I could finish my sentence. He dragged me out of the room, his grip started to hurt. "Hey,
Jasper Pov I was shocked when I heard Amaya say that. I loved how she could just stand up for herself. Most girls would have cowered next to me but, Amaya stood her ground."You got a feisty one there, cousin," Mason said "Cousin?" Amaya questioned. "Oh, he didn't tell you? Our moms are sisters." "So you were hitting on someone you know is with your cousin? Wow, what a great cousin you are" "Hey, I saw a cute girl so I shot my shot." "And you missed. Come on Amaya we have a few stops to make." I turned Amaya away, walked with her into the palace, and took her to the pack doctor the only person I knew that could help Amaya talk to her wolf. Once we got there, I knocked on the door and heard someone shout "come in!" I opened the door and the pack doctor was in front of the cabinets on the side of the room. She was wearing a dress under her white lab coat with her hair pinned back a little. "Alpha. Luna. To what do I owe this visit?" she asked looking at us. "She is a newb
Amaya I woke up and the faint smell of cinnamon apple wrapped around me. I thought that Jasper was next to me but there was nobody there. I lifted my head and saw that his shirt was next to me which means... A shirtless Jasper is running around. I got up to go find Jasper to give him back his shirt. As I walked up and down the palace I realized I don't know where his room was. As I walked the hallway I missed having my sister with me to do dumb things with and so I wasn’t walking the halls by myself, I had made up my mind to ask for my family once I get the moment as I was going to turn the corner I saw Jasper talking to someone. She was a girl who looked around my height. She had pale skin and rich blonde hair. She was wearing a skirt that was a little too small for her. She saw me and then started to smirk. She looked back at Jasper. "Let me show you how much I love you, " she said before she pulled Jasper into a deep kiss. I felt a little pain in my heart as they kissed. I

Amaya I have come to peace with my emotions. The pain, the dullness, the anger. It’s still there, but I tell myself it doesn’t hurt. It wouldn’t be the biggest lie I’ve told myself. I stare at myself in the mirror, not knowing who looks back at me. I try to think back to my life before all of this, about how that was almost a year ago. I wanted so badly to return home to my parents, friends, and school, but now I want to become who I was meant to be. A knock at my door made me snap back into reality; Erica opened the door and walked to me. She wore black leggings with a hoodie; here, she had only worn things a princess would wear. The capital was in Colorado, and even though events on the other side of the barrier didn’t affect the other side, the weather was the same for both. “You ready?” she asked, squeezing my shoulder. I nodded my head and walked out of the now-empty room. I tried to leave all the clothes and other things they had given me while I was here, but everyone enco
Jasper I knew it was coming, I tried to prepare myself but in that moment nothing mattered. The pain that was on her face and the emotions that radiated off of her was enough for me to know that the pain was more than she could handle. I had to shift and move around people to try and catch up to her. I could feel both connections fighting inside of me, one longing to be with Amaya and the other wanting to stay loyal to Chloe. My heart and soul wanted Amaya but I knew I could never have her again. I ran out of the door that she ran out of, not being able to see her. I followed her scent into the woods that were behind the building, I ran trying to catch up to her. I could see her leaning against a tree, her silk dress lit up with the yard lights that were scattered around on the ground. She had her eyes closed inhaling and exhaling deeply, she opened her eyes and turned to me. “What are you doing here?” she asked out of breath. “I had to make sure you were okay,” She pushed hers
Amaya I didn’t know whether to consider the coronation as a wedding or a very overdressed prom. Erica took me outside the barrier to get a dress that the people of the town didn’t make. Due to the multiple attacks that the pack has had, we got a lot of security. It was just Erica and me, she started to ask me about my life. What was I majoring at college, what was my life like growing up, and what was my love life like? I would answer by being careful not to overshare, but I also knew she was only trying to get to know me so I didn’t hold it against her. “When we get to the castle, I just know Isabell will adore you,” She said looking down at her phone and texting someone. “Isabell. She’s the youngest princess right?” I asked. “Yes, our parents had her just five years after they had you. The wolves that are on the board wanted another werewolf, but the witches wanted another witch, and the witches got their wish.” she joked. We slowly pulled up to the first store, we stepped out
Amaya The drive back to the barrier was like a breath of fresh air. There wasn’t any chaos, no one to tell us what we were meant to be doing; just us alone. Sadly, we didn’t get to stay in the hotel as long as I had hoped, but being with Jasper was all I had wanted. When we pulled up to the barrier entrance, it seemed different than when we had come. Once we passed through I could tell something was wrong, we had gotten into the pack’s territory. The border patrol was gone, Jasper looked around to see if anyone was there. We finally got to the palace to find everyone in one of the meeting rooms with a round table in the center and couches along the side, yelling back and forth. Micheal, Jacob, Woods, Princess Erica, and Prince Brandon were all yelling around the table. “What is going on?” Jasper asked once we entered the room. Everyone turned their heads and let out a sigh of relief. “Jasper, I’m so glad you’re safe,” his oldest sister said, coming to give him a hug. Brandon and Er
Jasper Once we passed the barrier, we quickly started diving to our destination. It was as if Amaya was racing time itself, once we got out of the open road and started to encounter traffic I could feel the breath I was holding in release at every stop light and sign. “Where are we going? You need to be pushing a hundred?” I asked as we stopped at a red light. “Well, I haven’t been out of that town for months and neither have you, so we are going to the one place where we can party, drink, eat, and have fun,” she said, turning her head to me. She looked at my hair and started to laugh. “On second thought, you're not going anywhere with your hair like that,” she said as she ran her hand through my hair. It sent a warm spark that surrounded my head as I closed my eyes and leaned into her touch. She took away her hand which made me quickly open my eyes to see that the light had turned green, she continued to drive into the city. The sun had just started to set when I realized where w
Jasper It was slowly but surely getting closer and closer to my birthday. I hadn't liked my birthday but this was the cherry I didn’t need on this horrible day. I had been strategizing how I would run the pack with Amaya and Chloe, ideally, it would be Amaya but I needed to plan for the worst. I wanted to stay in the fantasy that there was a chance that we could be together, and that my father hadn't made a horrible decision for me. As my birthday came up so did the responsibilities of becoming alpha. My father was giving me all of the passcodes and telling me how he had organized the pack and all of its information. I hadn’t liked his way of setting it up so I planned to change it. I spent the rest of my time organizing the files and folders the way I wanted them. I was not the only one who had to prepare to step into a leadership position, Jacob and Elijah and to have lessons on what they do for the former beta and third in command. “So after that, the alphas for the southern
Amaya I never thought my powers were useful or could be used for anything useful. But clearly, Jasper thought I could. As we left the orphanage I couldn’t stop thinking about a conversation I had with my royal siblings. After leaving the woods behind the palace and walking in, I wanted to talk to them, just us. I walked to the hall where the room was and walked in right as they were about to leave. “I want to talk to you,” I said looking at them as they were talking to some workers. They dismissed them, leaving after they bowed. “What is it that you want to talk about so urgently?” Brandon asked “I know that I have a low chance of becoming luna of this pack and or Jasper's mate but I want peace. I want to know that I can leave and not hurt him. Is there a way to make the bond go away without rejecting each other?” I asked, I know the only way to make the mate bond go away was rejection and I’ve heard what it does to people and I don’t want that to happen to us. “There is a way to
Jasper I knew telling Amaya what my father did would cause more problems in the future, but it wasn’t just my life that was being affected negatively. Amaya turned a few months ago and found out that she had powers and was royalty. I walked with her to different games and had her try some of our pack’s food, it hadn’t been that different from the food they make in the human dimension. As we were talking, John and another senior member came up to Amaya and me. “Ah, Jasper, I am so happy to see you having a good time.” he said in a cheerful tone.” “Yes, me too,” I said, trying to be professional. He looked over to Amaya who was standing next to me then back at me as if asking me to introduce him. “ Amaya, this is John. This is Amaya, my mate.” I said. He squinted his eyes at me as if I had said something I shouldn’t have. I knew that saying she was my mate would anger him but the moon goddess chose her to be with me. “Ah, it is nice to finally meet you. You have slowly become
