Jasper

I'm tired.

Tired of looking for her,

Tired of the pressure,

Just. Tired

I was looking from the balcony window, out onto the large land. My father had sent me on another trip to find my mate. But once again, I come up empty-handed. I have been looking for her ever since I turned twenty, it will be a year in four months.

I was so lost in thought, I didn't hear my name being called. I turned around to see my beta standing in the room.

" Are you packed?" He asked

"Yeah, everything is downstairs," I told him

"You sure?" he asked. He always got scared that I would leave something like I'm a child.

"Yes, now let's go."

We walked downstairs to say goodbye to the alpha family that let us stay there. Since I have alpha blood I will be mated with someone with a high ranking. I could care less about her ranking. But she wasn't here.

At the bottom of the stairs, the alpha family waited for us. I came here to see if any girls on their land were my mate but no one stood out. The family even tried selling their daughter to me, but I quickly said no to that. Once we reached the final step their daughter was giving me weird vibes, she was most likely still mad at me for saying no to her. She'll thank me later.

"Thank you for having us here," I said trying to sound court-like but it came out as annoyed.

"Any time. And good luck on finding your mate." The luna said to me.

"Thank you".

We finished with our goodbyes and got into the car.

"Another dead-end, looks like Chloe will be luna" My beta, Jacob said.

I growled at his comment. Chloe was a backup mate you can say. If neither of us had found our mates, then we would be each other's mates. But I know my mate is somewhere, I just need to find her.

****

Once we pulled into the driveway, My sisters and Jacob's mate were there to greet us. When Jacob and I got out, Melia his mate ran to him. I walked to hug my sisters.

"Did you find her?" Ally, my sister asked looking over my shoulders to look.

"No, she wasn't there. I think I might give up on her." I said looking down.

"Hey, look finding a mate is hard but we are lucky enough to have them. So don't give up on her." Jessica, my eldest sister said. She always knows what to say at the right moment.

I nodded and walked in. I was so tired, I changed into comfortable clothes and fell asleep.

****

I jerked out of my sleep when I smelt the most intoxicating smell. I got out of bed and followed the smell. That's when I heard yelling.

"HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE."

I ran down the stairs and saw Jacob shirtless covered in blood, and holding a girl. Her striped shirt was covered in blood too, Her long curly black hair fell to the floor as Jacob put her down.  People ran to help the girl

"SHE'S HURT!" my wolf yelled

All I saw was red, I pushed Jacob by the neck to the nearest wall I could find. We were near the same height, so we were eye to eye.

"What happened?" I said in the most alpha voice I could.

"I was patrolling the woods near the humans like I was told. But Corey smelt blood, and..." He stopped

"AND?" I yelled

"So he bit her. I brought her here and.." I punched him before he could finish.

I was going to punch him again but a scream brought me back to reality. I spun around to see her thrashing around on the floor screaming. I ran as quickly as I could. I held her hand and she slowly calmed down.

"We need to take her to the pack doctor." someone said.

I picked her up as quickly as I could and ran outside, I put her into the car and drove. As I was driving, I could hear her whimpers and cries, It pained me to hear them.

Once we were there, I stopped the car to take her out. I ran into the building and started yelling for help. They brought a stretcher and took her.

"I'm sorry but you need to stay out. Only family" A nurse said

"She's my mate. Let me go" I said. I walked past her as I was walking down the hall I heard screaming, I ran to the source. When I entered, I saw my mate being held down by doctors and nurses. I looked into her eyes, they were bright blue eyes with bright strikes of pink and purple.

"What's wrong with her?" I asked the doctors

"She's in shifting." one of them answered

After that, they were all pushed onto the floor, My mate had pushed them onto the floor. She had fallen onto the floor and her bones cracked. Fur had grown from her and then she was on all four.

She was a rich black wolf, she had a white line going down her back. She tried to stand but failed. She didn't move from the floor she lay on her side, her body still moving up and down as if she had a hard time breathing. I wanted to spend time with her alone.

"Everyone out. NOW!" I yelled at everyone in the room

Once everyone was out, I changed into my black wolf. I walked to her and put my snout into her neck. I lay down my head on her abdomen. I felt her relax under my touch, I closed my eyes and loved this feeling.

*****

The door opened awoken me, I opened my eyes to see a man in a white lab coat. I look down to see my mate. Naked. I put my body over her and growled at the man. He backed away with his hands up.

"I mean no harm. I just came to tell you that the girl will wake up soon and to let her take it slow," he said. He put some clothes down on the chair, bowed, and left.

I shifted and put the clothes on. I put the clothes on her and pulled her hair back.

"I can't wait to meet you."

  • The NewBreeder   Chapter 35

JasperI looked at the vampire, who was now handcuffed, as he stared at Amaya. Amaya seemed taken aback by what he said, as if it wasn’t just him being deranged. She stared at him a bit longer before reciting a spell, making the vampire unconscious.“What did he mean by ‘unite or destroy’?” I asked, looking at Amaya. Her expression was hard—something I’d noticed about her. When it seems she has no options, she freezes to think before acting.“We need to keep moving. We’re still ten minutes away from the pack,” Amaya said, walking to the car, ignoring my question. We put the vampire off to the side of the road, leaving him unconscious. We got back into the car and continued driving. Amaya went back to text

  • The NewBreeder   Chapter 34

AmayaThe one that just started? Did that mean Jasper’s pack was under attack, or were they going to try and overthrow the castle?“What war?” I asked, stepping right up to the gate with him.He smirked before he answered me. “The one that’s going to reveal your true colors, princess.” He said the word princess as if it were an insult.“Who are you?” I asked, summoning all the power I could muster. The sooner we knew his name, the sooner we could start looking for Victor.“Now, where’s the fun in that?” He walked away from the gate and further into the cell.Christian’s phone started to ring, and he excused himself. I turned to Jordan, trying to get a hold of my emotions.“He’s lying. I don’t believe him.” I looked over my shoulder as if to make sure he hadn’t left his cell.“Maybe,&rdquo

  • The NewBreeder   Chapter 33

Amaya We aren’t any closer to discovering who “we” is. Christian arrived in the pack two days after us, and we were able to question the small group of rogues that the guards had caught. They all refused to tell us anything—not even their names—which made the whole process harder.I rarely saw Jasper. When Christian arrived, we all talked about what we needed from Jasper and his pack while we were here, but that was all. Everywhere he goes, Chloe follows. It gives me more reason to stay away from him. I want to be around him, and I know he wants to be around me, too, but we both know we shouldn’t.The pack seemed so much bigger before I left, but now I feel like I can’t go anywhere without someone being around the corner. I needed somewhere I could go to collect myself—somewhere I hold close to my heart. I went to the only place I knew was sacred enough for me to lay down my worries and doubts.

  • The NewBreeder   Chapter 32

AmayaWe put the shifter and the others we had been able to detain in one of the holding cells, hoping that when Christian came, he would be able to get information out of him. I sent the guards to get some rest while Jordan and I talked with Jasper and the others. Jordan and I followed Jasper, Elijah, and Jacob to what used to be Jasper’s father’s office. Jasper went behind the desk, and Jordan and I stood in front of it, waiting for him to start talking.Jasper looked different. I knew it had only been three months — I, myself, felt different — but there was something heavy in the way Jasper looked. His once-sparkling eyes were dull, and a five o’clock shadow aged him. He didn’t seem to sleep much.“What is the importance of the wolf that’s in my cell right now?”

  • The NewBreeder   Chapter 31

AmayaLeaving through the barrier into the human world made it easier to drive straight where we needed to go. Seeing a place that wasn’t the capital was refreshing—like nostalgia.“Missing the lesser life?” Jordan asked from the back seat. We had split into four cars: two headed northwest with me, and two headed south.“Reminiscing,” I said, thinking of the family that raised me and the friends I had made—only for them to forget who I am.“Well, look how far you’ve come,” Jordan said, moving closer and putting his hand on my shoulder. “Not only were you a princess, but the kingdom was led to think you were dead, and you’re also a commander after only a few months of training. I think you have better things to think about.” He was right; I had broken out of the shell I was in even before my shifting. I had to celebrate that.“You’re right. Thanks,” I said, turning over my shoulder. “Anytime. And you should say that more often,” Jordan said, leaning back into his seat. “Say what?” “T

  • The NewBreeder   Chapter 30

AmayaTraining to find the man who has been hunting me since before I was born is more difficult than I thought it would be. After my marking, we started training harder than ever. I grew stronger, not only physically but also with my magic. Although I haven’t chosen a specialty yet, my abilities keep growing. As hard as training may be, it’s been rewarding. Sparring with Jordan has proven my progress—I’ve managed to beat him more than once in the past week. With a patrol mission scheduled for this week, we’ve begun to observe and study different fighting styles, learning how to incorporate them into our own. Watching other warriors take the mat and analyzing how they move to take down their opponents has been the best way for me to learn. By the time Jordan and I stepped onto the mat, I felt more than confident.“Fuck,” Jordan exclaimed
