Prologue: Background Story of Su Lan

2024-10-29 19:42:56Su Lan was from a family line of doctors but starting from her grandfather's line everything went downhill becoming a normal everyday blue collar worker family. Her family has a room full of medical books and an ancient "book" heritage passed down since ancient times. No one knew where the "book" was and no one cared because there was no one in the occupation as a physician in her family. Her family included her mother, father, and two older brothers.
Su Lan was the only daughter/sister in the family and also the youngest so everything was provided for her. Although everything was provided, her family was always busy and had no time for her. As she grew up she got used to having everything given to her and slowly she got too lazy to do anything. She didn't have any close friends either and slowly as time passed she became a 27 years old who stayed at home most of the time playing on the computer or reading in her library at home.
Like any other day, Su Lan was lying in bed watching her favorite drama until she received a phone call. She picked up her phone and answered only to get hollered at by her mother once again with a bunch of questions like: "when are you going to get a job", "why don't you head out", and etc. After an hour of the same routine everyday she finally managed to get off the phone call. Getting in a grumpy mood she grabbed the bag of chips next to her and saw an ad on her computer. The title of the ad was "the mysterious and unbelievable game" . As a person who loves mystery genres she was attracted by the word mysterious she pressed on the ad. Suddenly a green light burst out from her jade bracelet and computer. The green light turned into small balls of green light and rained down on her. Still in shock she didn't move until she suddenly felt a headache and fainted.

Su Lan woke up with tears in her eyes and her other soul's memories. She was in disbelief and joy. Finally, finally there was someone responsible! After all the irresponsible attacks from the gods, the system, and the pet! Su Lan was tearing over the message the angel left her. Su Lan never thought that one day she would be filled with joy to the point of tearing just because of a detailed explanation from her great (50x) grandfather's angel assistant. Apparently, the angel, knowing just how unique her great (50x) grandfather's personality is, felt pity for both himself and her so, he left a message. As an angel buried in work and never ending overtime because of a certain someone, he knew how Su Lan would feel after coming to this world. Su Lan was grateful but at the same felt goosebumps hoping she wouldn't end up like the angel.
