"Come on, Miss Paige. You're the one who begged me to serve you. Don't tell me you've forgotten that night? You were all over me. Of course, I had to snap a few pics to remember it by!"

"Get lost! Don’t disgust me any further! People like you should be locked up!"

His flippant words easily sparked my anger.

Thinking back to that night, I could barely remember what happened after a certain point.

I had no idea how I made it back home. I found myself crying helplessly on the balcony.

Where was I supposed to get the million dollars George was demanding?

Faced with his threat, I felt completely trapped.

If he went through with it, my entire family would be destroyed.

I didn’t have the courage to confess any of this to Leonard.

At some point, Mary came up behind me. When she saw the state I was in, she was shocked and handed me a tissue to wipe my tears.

"Veronica, what happened? If something’s wrong, you can tell me. Did Leo do something to upset you? Tell me, and I’ll stand up for you."
