"Veronica, why don't you give it a try? Black massage therapists are known for their strong hands, it’ll feel amazing on your sore muscles," Lily suddenly suggested, her excitement clear.

I immediately felt uncomfortable and waved it off. "No, I don’t think so. I’m not used to that."

Despite my words, ever since I married Leonard, I had quit my job as a designer and devoted myself to being a full-time housewife. The heavy housework often left my back and waist aching, sometimes unbearably so.

If it weren’t for how uncomfortable I felt about George, I might have considered it.

After spending the entire afternoon running around the house, my whole body ached as I collapsed onto the bed.

Maybe Mary and Lily were right—perhaps the massage would actually help.

“Ugh, what am I even thinking?”

As my thoughts drifted, I suddenly felt an overpowering masculine presence surrounding me. Large hands slid over my waist, and I let out an involuntary gasp, jolting as I tried to get up.
