105 A Different Man

“Hello Ladies.” A baritone voice greeted calmly and I felt all the humour deserting my body as I swung my gaze to the metallic one watching me across the room.

“Hello Mr. Fernandez.” I heard my friend greeting softly somewhere beside me and I felt more than I saw the outstretched hands.

“Good evening, Christos.” I finally murmured softly and I saw the flare of passion that he could not hide in his eyes.

Unable to tear my eyes away from his mesmerizing gaze, I allowed my heart to glow under his message.

“I love the way you say my name yineka mou.” He mouthed silently and I blushed ruthlessly from the impact.

Unfortunately, my nosey friend saw the exchange and she smiled before covering a cough with her palm.

“Mummy? Are you going out on a date with Uncle Christos?” My daughter called from somewhere on the carpet and I allowed myself to be distracted. Which is a good thing. The man’s gaze was so bold; I might not survive the potency.
