Andrea’s POV I never imagined the elixir would wear off so quickly and now be fully gone. I remember the hardships I went through to get the witch to give me the Elixir only to have it destroyed; I fisted my fingers violently beside me, attempting to control my fury. I know that exposing my rage to Lucas will only exacerbate the problem, and if I don't play it carefully, he might kick me out of his pack since he has complete power over his people; they only followed my commands because of him, and if he revokes that, all my plans will crumble. I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs and demand why the elixir chose the worst time of all to wear off, I had hurried back to my room to meet him and discuss taking Athena to meet her mate, and now I am greeted with another concern. When I was summoned because Athena's son was dying, I wanted to abandon him, but then I recalled how much I needed him and had a change of heart; I only need him to live long enough to meet his father.
Athena’s POV Things improved once Evan began living with me in the prison; I was surprised that Andrea provided us with blankets, nice food, and drink, and she also stopped the daily torment in the torturing chamber. I was doing well and couldn't wait to be totally recovered and have Andrea's head. I heard murmuring, and I knew something was going on that I'm not aware of, so I gently laid Evan on my chest and patted his back; he was recovering well, and it wasn't as horrible as I expected if he was in the cell with me. I raised my head to see Kiara walking towards me, and I smiled as her eyes locked with mine. Since Andrea has become a bit nicer, Kiara has taken it upon herself to make sure Evan has proper treatment, and she is always coming over to check on him, and with that, she feeds us some herbs that we need to recover quickly. "How are you doing today?"Kiara inquired, and I grinned. "I'm fine, and Evan is fine; he's adjusting to being in the cell."Kiara's face sank as I c
Athena’s POVI strained my eyes as I emerged from the dungeon with my wrists shackled, I looked around and was emotionless, I couldn't believe the last time I stepped outside to see the sun directly and breathe fresh air, I was already acclimated to the dungeon's toxic air. I noticed people gathered around me, their eyes on me, I appeared like a criminal being brought for punishment; everyone was watching to see what would happen to me, I tilted my head when the guards suddenly stepped closer to me. The guards hauled me roughly to the vehicle, and I noticed Lucas, who had his eyes on everyone but me. He appeared ashamed to see me, and I also noticed a lot of men gathered to go with us. I immediately knew that this was going to be a war, and all I could hope for was that Alpha Daniel would overpower them and save us. I would love to kill Andrea with my bare hands; there is nothing that will bring me peace than seeing her choke and beg me with tear-filled eyes to spare her, and I wou
Daniel’s POV The sky was a dull gray, packed with clouds that hung low like a suffocating shroud. The damp chill clung to everything, thickening and oppressing the air. The streets were deserted, with just the occasional drip of rain coming off the leaves of the trees breaking the calm. I stepped out of the tent, looked at the dark sky, sighed, and didn't know what to do. I wanted to go back and look for Athena because something was clearly wrong, and I was the only one who could find it. I know Athena is out there, and she may not be in the best of health. Damon suddenly approached me, he couldn't walk well since he had been injured in his leg during the battle, and it was terrible, I thought I was going to lose him, but Damon is a strong man, he wouldn't go down without a fight. He walked closer to me and stopped when he was only a few inches away from me, calling out "Alpha!" and slightly bowing his head “Damon! How is your leg?” I asked, and he slightly bent his head to look
Daniel’s POV As the sun rose beyond the horizon, it casts a warm orange glow across the sky. The air was cool and crisp. The damp grass gleams in the sunlight. There were no clouds in the sky, and the sun's rays stream through the trees, casting long and magnificent shadows. Amidst the magnificent view of nature, there was a continuous fight, and the warriors are fully in their wolf forms, armed with teeth, claws, and the strength of their wolf forms. Andrew came towards me with a furious resolve engraved on his face, he growled loudly and his boned cracked as he shifted into his wolf form, Andrew, like me, had suffered many injuries as a result of the fight, but neither of us is willing to give up on this war. The struggle for supremacy between the two of us was significantly more intense. The fight between us was vicious. Fur flew, blood spilled, and growls and howls filled the early morning air. None of the warriors were willing to back down and it felt as if we all had enough
Daniel’s POV I was shocked to see Athena at Andrea's mercy; I don't know what happened to cause this; I know I haven't paid enough attention to Andrea since I found out Athena was my mate, and she ran away with my unborn child; I slowly moved forward and groan, the poison on the knife spreading across the rest of my body. "What exactly is this, Andrea? What exactly are you doing?"I yelled at her, and she cackled. I noticed men mobilized behind her, as well as another man standing alongside her. My eyes caught with Athena's and I noticed indifference in her eyes, she didn't have any emotions after seeing me again, and I know she must have hated me so much, one of the men suddenly walked inside the van and brought out a tiny kid, my eyes opened when I saw him and I realized he was my son right away! "What do you think this is, huh?"Andrea inquired, her eyes flitting about me and Andrew in contempt. "I know I haven't paid as much attention to you in recent years, but that doesn't
Daniel’s POV The air was tense as each party waited for the first person to strike, and it would escalate into a full-fledged conflict. My men and Andrew's men had stopped fighting, and they all had their eyes on us, perplexity on their faces since none of them knew what was going on. My eyes looked around for a means to save Athena and my son; I wasn't going to give up on any of them, nor would I give up my title to her. I've heard stories about her father's tyranny, which caused him to lose his title. He had been unjust to the other packs who were under him, and he thought he could rule as he pleased, but the people had had enough, and my father was brave enough to step forward and take the throne from him. Looking at Andrea and her brother, who appears to be a puppet, shows that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, they are exactly like their father, and I am not about to give up on what my father fought so hard for. "Alpha Daniel, make your choice, there isn't enough t
Andrew’s POV I wanted to see the moon goddess and ask her if what we were going through was fair before returning to continue the war from where we left off, as I look up to see the sky. I am a few months older than Daniel, but my father granted him the title since I was an illegitimate child; my mother and father had a one-night encounter and conceived me as a result, and I was treated unfairly despite being the eldest child, my mother wasn’t treated any better. I spent the twenty-seven years I've been alive despising Daniel because he had everything I desired. When he was shown to the public and openly learned everything about the Pack and had tutors who were happy to teach the alpha's son, I was made to hide in the shadows and everything I learned was a self-concept. I saw my father look at Daniel with love and adoration, but he never looked at me that way; instead, I saw disdain in his eyes, as if I were the one who wanted to be born into this cruel world, so after my fath
