Chapter 82

WARD

The world spins around me and then I am suddenly jerked to a stop. I fall to the ground with a thud and my stomach churns. Turning my head to the side I empty the contents of my stomach onto what I thought was the ground.

"Ugh," I hear Sylvia gag. "He puked on my shoes."

"Sorry," I mumble as I wipe the vomit from my lips.

"Ever the gentleman," Sister Edith laughs as she tosses her cane to the side.

Running her fingers over her hair, the elderly woman that I have grown to know over the past couple of months disappears and a beautiful young woman is standing above me. Sister Edith's dull silver hair has been replaced with fiery red hair and her blue eyes are now a deep shade of brown. The wrinkles that covered every inch of her face have now disappeared and nothing but smooth skin remains in its place. There is a sprinkling of freckles across her nose that gives her a youthful look. She could not look more different than Sister Edith.
