“Now remember,” Martha said to me with indigo by her side. “Don’t use the hex until you’ve gotten a clear understanding of what is going on. Don’t also let him know you can use magic. He knows your mother is magic but he has no idea that you have it.”

I nodded watching the two of them advise me as all I could think of was the fact that I was making a very grave mistake but I could not take it back.

“Look out for the rogues with the drugs,” notified Gail behind all of us. We all looked at her as the witches were shocked she was involved in this. “I hear they are still out there with the drugs murdering people.”

“I hope you know you can’t tell anyone, not even the alpha,” noted Martha to the maid who nodded. “Because if he does know I will wipe your memory of who you are and make sure you don’t recover from my spell to know who you are.”
