I looked back at Lily who was still staring at me with a sad look before looking away.

“I see you’re back here to mock me,” she said, noticing that I didn’t care about her. “Are you even married?”

“If you’re here to engage with me in an argument I’ll have you know that I’m not in the mood for it,” I said with a straight tone.

“I’m only asking a genuine question. No need to get all up in your feelings.”
