Jane’s POV

We kissed for a few minutes before settling on the bed.

We sat in silence for a while before he heaved a deep sigh.

“What is it?” I asked. I could tell that something was clearly on his mind and he was bothered by it.

“There was a murder the other day. A few wolves and witches were killed by something but no one knows who could have done it.”

I was shocked to hear this. This was the first time I was hearing of a murder happening in the pack before. Whatever had happened here was no ordinary occurrence.

“And no one was caught?” I was curious.

“No,” he shook his head. “But I caught something.”
