Katherine's eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness, her senses stirring. The silence was oppressive, a clear indication that Nathaniel had already departed for his office. His absence left a hollow feeling, but she pushed aside the longing.

Today marked the beginning of her training, and Katherine's nerves hummed with anticipation. She trusted Nathaniel implicitly, knowing he would guide her through the challenges ahead.

With a quiet resolve, Katherine headed to the bathroom to start her morning routine. The warm shower washed away the remnants of sleep, but her mind remained alert.

As she dressed, Katherine's thoughts drifted to Nathaniel. What would today's training entail? Would she be able to keep up?

Returning to the room, Katherine halted, her gaze locking onto a figure on the couch.

Amelia.

Katherine's face lit up with a warm smile as she spotted Amelia. It had been weeks since their last encounter, and Katherine had missed the witch's guidance.
