A Mother's Love

2021-01-22 19:13:13A young and a very beautiful but thin looking woman wearing a worn out white dress is banging a tall black gate frantically, like her life depended on it in front of a huge and luxurious mansion while carrying an adorable but pale child in her thin and weak arm, who is currently crying loudly.
She stood there for about an hour or more and still stubbornly persist, not minding the extreme heat of the sunlight and the bruises in her arm because of constantly hitting the gate.
Beads of sweats are falling from her temple into her face mixing with the tears that is falling like crazy in her eyes that held her nervousness, fatigue and her worries but she didn't even wipe it as she continues to shout for help.
"Liu Kang!! Please help our child!!"
"Liu Kang!! Our child!!"
She repeatedly shouted these words until her throat started to ache badly. But she still repeatedly said it in a much fainter tone like she was chanting.
Her body slumped down unconsciously when she saw the the tall gate didn't even open and the man she is looking for didn't even come even for just a minute.
The man she loves more than herself.
The man that promised to love her forever.
The man who is the father of her child.
'He didn't even come see me and his child when we need him?'
Her hope crashed down after she asked herself this question. She looks at her beloved daughter that is now sleeping silently.
"Lan'er stay strong,un?"
She said comforting her daughter but her hand stilled when she felt the coldness.
Her mind knows already that her child is now a corpse and no longer breathing because of the child body is already cold. But she still lie to herself and her heart that her only daughter is still alive.
"You want to grow into a beautiful lady aren't you Lan'er?"
"You want to wear beautiful dress...
Mom promise to buy you anything you want when you grow up so don't leave me Lan'er?"
She smile and continue talking her daughter but if people will see her smile, they sure can see the sadness and sorrows it contains.

Everything registered to her brain when she didn't hear her child's usual happy giggles.
"NNOOOOO!!!"
Her heart breaking scream rang loudly but no one came for help. She never felt this hopelessness before even when she knew that she was abandoned as a child and was raised by a couple who found her at their doorstep. She felt like she was abandoned and unwanted by her parents. But now seems the world abandoned her too. That's how broken she was right now.
"Lan'er...
my Lan'er!!"
She tried to stand but found that she no longer had the strength to do so she is just like a doll now, soulless.
However her soulless eyes shine lightly when she saw that the black gate finally opened. She stand instantly using all of her will.
'Maybe...Liu Kang will help my daughter...Lan'er still have a chance'
With these thoughts in mind, she found that her body seemed to have enough energy.
She ran like a madwoman when she saw the man that might help her daughter, even if it's just a small chance. She still tried for her daughter. She didn't even see that there are more people coming out. Her only focus is on Liu Kang.

She did have the capital to be a mistress with just her look alone. She stared at the woman running fast into their direction, even though she is wearing a cheap looking dress, eyes red from crying and tears stained her face. As a woman and wife, the most shameful thing is that your husband looking for other woman. If a man looks for other woman then it means that you lack something and can no longer satisfy your man. The child looks so pale, with out any color in her skin. The child needs an immediate attention of doctors. As a mother, I sympathize with her so I am willing to help her this once.
The woman seemed to not see me as she ran straight away to my husband and then kneeled.
"L--Liu Ka--ng...He--help our daughter."
The woman said while catching her breath.
And what happened next was out of my expectation. My husband for ten years just casually tossed a handful of cash towards the woman's direction. And his harsh words shocked me even more.
"Bai Lixue! I gave you that cash so that you will not appear in here again! That's my payment for you!"
'I didn't know that the man I married was this heartless.'
The woman named Bai Lixue pick up the scattered money not minding the disdain and amused look they are giving her. The only thoughts in her minds is how to save her daughter. She can let her pride and dignity trampled upon as long as she can save her beloved child.
After getting all the money she bowed and thanks sincerely and ran away.
"Thank you Liu Kang. And I promise that I will not appear in front of you ever again."

People in the hospital was shocked to see a woman frantically shouting. Even though some are irritated because of the noise, they can't get angry because it's obvious that she is just worried for her child. Some kinder people even went to find and informed a doctor because of how pitiful the woman is.
Fortunately there is a nurse who welcomed the woman and get the baby from her.
