At around the same time, somewhere else near the Fire Border, a blonde haired guy and a black haired guy were walking in a prairie accompanied by a pack of flying stingray like creatures. These creatures’ color was pastel, almost pale orange, and their body was slightly transparent. Their tail was thin and long, kind of a rat’s tail but longer. They also emitted this blobby sounds as their wings moved, making the two humans slightly uncomfortable because it sounded weird.
“Jai, can you tell them to stop glowering?” the blonde guy asked.
“Didn’t you say that’s how their floating ability works?” the black haired guy replied.

The two of them followed the right path which ascended to a hill. The terrain was less rocky now, and the grass also appeared again in their view, but then the road led to another cliff and this one had a waterfall. There were also some flowers now, probably because of the waterfall nearby which supplied water to the area. Jai didn’t know that gorillas can jump skilfully in rocky terrains or a cliff. He only knew goats could do that, like that type of goat that climbs dam to find salt as their source of minerals. He ever watched those goats in the educational channel about animals, and he remembered how he was amazed by the courage they have to actually climb the steep dam just to lick… Well, back then, he only knew they were licking rocks. But he thought that they were the most daredevil creatures for doing that.But after his encounter with that frightening gorilla, his perspective about who’s the one more daring changed. The gorilla earned it. It was not that big when they saw it from afar, but they were proven wrong when after it skilfully swayed from the rocks one after another, jumped high enough to make Darrion’s eyes popped out of his sockets, and landed on the other side of the cliff they were at. Jai and Darrion reached the fountain in the middle of the village and entered the item shop nearby.A young woman was tending to the goods. She had her wavy black hair in a long ponytail and was doing some dusting to keep the… Well, dust, away. She stopped when the sound of bells chimed harmoniously, signalling that her door was opened, and went on to greet her customers. “Welcome to Wind Chime Shop! I’m Rin, the shopkeeper. Jai and Darrion ran past the fountain in front of Rin’s shop. Ahead of them, they could see the plains and two children running into the village, towards them, while crying. The children saw them and immediately ran faster, crashing into them while bawling their eyes out.“UWAAAAAAAAAA!!!” the little girl with pigtails cried into Jai’s clothes.Jai checked her all over as he tried to calm her, finding light bruises on her cheek and knees that were starting to turn red and dirt on her clothes. The green haired little boy in Darrion’s arms, luckily, didn’t suffer any wounds other than his right hand becoming slightly red. Jai and Darrion brought Itani and Ame to the restaurant, as they didn’t know where they should go. And upon reaching there, they were glad that there were already several people waiting there. Claude, the brunette whose hair was styled up like flames, was watching Jai and Darrion from mid-air. His superior level ability in wind control allows him to fly while concealing himself from anyone’s or anything’s sight. To simplify, he could turn invisible. Though he knew this ability of his has a slight loophole that he had yet to fix, he doubted the two people he was currently following would be able to notice his presence behind his air barrier.He had been watching them ever since they left the Fire Border. Jai knelt down on the ground. He put the dry branches and foliage he had gathered into a pile and arranged several rocks around it in a circle. He then charged his hands with electricity and clapped them softly around the small dry mound. A tiny fire lit up from the spark he made and he repeated it several times until the dry mound was consumed by fire.Jai smiled, satisfied that they finally got something to warm themselves through the night. They had left the Sougen Village and walked to the direction of the forest with the giant trees. They reached halfway through the prairie when the sun lowered itself in the horizon, signalling it’s the moons’ turn to take watch. It was still a long way to go to Takenoko, so Jai and Darrion decided to also rest at the side of the road and making camp.He turned around to inform his friend that they could finally have a seat on the ground and just chill, but a frown settled on his face when he looked at his friend.
