350 - Sougen Village, Orange Beak
Jai and Darrion ran past the fountain in front of Rin’s shop. Ahead of them, they could see the plains and two children running into the village, towards them, while crying. The children saw them and immediately ran faster, crashing into them while bawling their eyes out.
“UWAAAAAAAAAA!!!” the little girl with pigtails cried into Jai’s clothes.
Jai checked her all over as he tried to calm her, finding light bruises on her cheek and knees that were starting to turn red and dirt on her clothes. He guessed she might have fallen somewhere in the plains and injured herself. The green haired little boy in Darrion’s arms, luckily, didn’t suffer any wounds other than his right hand becoming slightly red. But he seemed to be crying out of surprise and fear.
Two elderly came out of the restaurant beside them, startled by the screaming children. “Oh my! What happened, dears?” asked the oldies as they approached them.

Jai knelt down on the ground. He put the dry branches and foliage he had gathered into a pile and arranged several rocks around it in a circle. He then charged his hands with electricity and clapped them softly around the small dry mound. A tiny fire lit up from the spark he made and he repeated it several times until the dry mound was consumed by fire.Jai smiled, satisfied that they finally got something to warm themselves through the night. They had left the Sougen Village and walked to the direction of the forest with the giant trees. They reached halfway through the prairie when the sun lowered itself in the horizon, signalling it’s the moons’ turn to take watch. It was still a long way to go to Takenoko, so Jai and Darrion decided to also rest at the side of the road and making camp.He turned around to inform his friend that they could finally have a seat on the ground and just chill, but a frown settled on his face when he looked at his friend.

They arrived just before the forest around mid-day on the insistence of Darrion. He said that the trace was fading and he suspected it was because Alex had gone further away from them. So Darrion dragged Jai using his speed dash and cut the time short.
