Jai and Darrion brought Itani and Ame to the restaurant, as they didn’t know where they should go. And upon reaching there, they were glad that there were already several people waiting there. While the men rushed to close the gate, two women immediately approached them with worried expressions, which made them sure the women must be the kids’ mother.
“Itani-kun!”
“Ame-chan!” shouted the two women at the same time.
“Itani-kun, are you alright?” one of them knelt in front of Itani and checked him out. “Oh my son…”
Itani smiled at his mother and held her hands close. “Just light bruises, Mama,” he said, before receiving the hug from his mother.
Ame’s mother was already standing beside Jai, holding onto her daughter who seemed to also want to be in her mother’s arms. “Ame-chan… Oh Ame-chan… Big brother can you put her down?”

Jai knelt down on the ground. He put the dry branches and foliage he had gathered into a pile and arranged several rocks around it in a circle. He then charged his hands with electricity and clapped them softly around the small dry mound. A tiny fire lit up from the spark he made and he repeated it several times until the dry mound was consumed by fire.Jai smiled, satisfied that they finally got something to warm themselves through the night. They had left the Sougen Village and walked to the direction of the forest with the giant trees. They reached halfway through the prairie when the sun lowered itself in the horizon, signalling it’s the moons’ turn to take watch. It was still a long way to go to Takenoko, so Jai and Darrion decided to also rest at the side of the road and making camp.He turned around to inform his friend that they could finally have a seat on the ground and just chill, but a frown settled on his face when he looked at his friend.

They arrived just before the forest around mid-day on the insistence of Darrion. He said that the trace was fading and he suspected it was because Alex had gone further away from them.
