There was blasting music it was as good as I planned it to be, I got back into entertainment industry making a acting debut and I hosted this party for myself. I was an actress before my parents got killed and I took over their company which was now in Calvin's hands.I turned around as I heard her voice.

"You actually got invited here?" Judy asked with a little sarcastic chuckle while she looked down on me. Hearing the arrogant tone of hers made my blood boil in anger. Nonetheless, I forced a smile out of courtesy. 

"What freaking luck you got!" Judy remarked, shaking her glass of wine with an eye roll. I could clearly sense the disgust in her look as she ogled at me from head to toe. How dare she!? Only if I could snatch that smirk off her face. 

"You came to my welcome party, Judy. And under my roof you are running foul remarks for me. Quite bold of you.” I settled her with a light chuckle. Judy was someone I wasn’t really expecting that night.

She really had no shame and continued to mock me. That audacity of hers! "A welcome party for you?" Judy paused and sneered as she shouted louder for everyone to hear. "What a joke." Judy laughed and the crowd followed.

"Indeed you were a great actress in the industry but the past is the past." She added in a whisper to me.

"Heard of the movie coming out soon?" In a low tone I inquired. shaking my head at her ignorance. She actually thought I was only famous in the past!?. What a joke.

"Yes and if you also heard the movie's main focus is me" I said with a widening smirk on my face of course I used my influence to help.my self no one could ever figure out who was supporting me in the dark.

"Even if you have a huge fan base as an actress you are still the most single person I know in life." She chuckled,how dare she laugh at me like that revenge was still knocking at the door.

I didn't bother exchanging more words with her and walked past her to a fellow colleague "I heard you wanted to quit the industry" I asked giving her a side hug and she shook her head positively.

"Yes,I do the feedback is trolling on my mental health but now that you are back everything is so much better" She said and gave her a nudge.

"I remember the way you begged me to not leave the industry,any one who saw would think we were in a relationship." I responded reminiscing the old memories.

"Yeah but at least you got back to your feet." She said with a smile among everyone I knew she was part of the people who I felt would be genuinely happy for my success.

As I wanted to reply I felt myself being dragged away from her sight. I raised my hand ready to land a slap on the person's face but it turned ed out to be Calvin I put my hand down slowly and stared at him as he asked "Why did you come back?" Calvin asked and I chuckled loudly what a ridiculous question he asked.

"So you didn't want me to come back?" I asked in awe.

"You wanted to never be able to get up?" I inquired again he was definitely amongst my enemies he actually had the guts to confront me.

"No that is not what I mean Astrid" he said putting a hand on my shoulder. "Judy was my first love and she came back you don't expect me to just leave her like that." He said and I pulled his hands off, he wanted dto sugarcoat me with his words like he always did.

"I didn't,infact I would have done the same thing if I were you but why are you telling me that?" "I have moved on already." I said with a proud smirk on my face, I got the chance to see gus true colors and it was good for me.

"Okay,you have moved on fine but you should also move on from your career. You being in the spotlight ruins it for me" Calvin said,he was probably afraid that I would have a better chance to take the company from him if I went back to the industry.

"Oh!"

"So you know that you aren't pure but don't worry I don't bite." I said and he gave a evil smile, he walked closer to me leaning in and whispering in my ear. "I think it is better you back down from the industry yourself darling,you don't want to leave shameless"

I wanted to push him away immediately and land a slap in his face but someone did that for me and landed a slap on my face. "You are back again take him away from me just like did before,right?" Judy said and I looked in shock did she just actually slap me.

"This isn't your place to act wild darling." I said and returned the slap gracefully, I left her because I didn't want to stress myself but it turns out she doesn't know her position.

"Security!"

"Take them out of my party."I said and they came in immediately I stepped aside so they could carry away the both of them. I hadn't begun to put my plan in place and they were already acting proud,they probably wanted destruction sooner.

"Let's all grace ourselves with her presence please welcome, Miss Astrid!" The announcer said on stage it was my turn to shine. I walked into the stage slowly as I made my speech.

"Lastly I would like to welcome all of you to this party today,please have fun!" I could hear a lot of applause from the crowd and I smiled to myself it was a beautiful thing that I still had some support to myself.

As soon as I got down from the podium I heard my phone ring as I picked it up to see it was a call from Helen.

"What is wrong?" I asked, being my manager Helen had a lot of things to handle for me. She helped sometimes with my personal life but a limit that we always had was the fact that Helen would never call me expect if it is something serious.

"We need the porcelain vase from your house." Helen said making me suspicious why would they need a porcelain vase for what?.

"Why do you need it?" I asked and I could hear her mumble and stammer it sounded like she was being threatened or something.

"Just bring the vase, please thank you." She quickly hung up on me before I could say anything else. I rolled my eyes as I kept the phone back in my bag.

Carefully reaching home, I heard his voice saying "My darling is back" I quickly turned on the light thinking it was someone else but I breath a sigh of relief when I realised he was thr one.

"Jeez, Damon you scared me"

"What are you doing in my house." I asked as I pulled off my shoe and went towards my room I could feel his glare as he followed me from behind grabbing my hand to make me stop.

"I told Helen to make up the story of the porcelain vase, you don't have to get it.." He said and I hissed in annoyance he actually wasted my time when i had a lot of things to do.

"I saw your return, and I loved it but when is my part of the deal coming to reality?" He asked and I reminisced the moment.

FLASHBACK

"You are the CEO,what do you need me for?" I asked and he provided a smirk on his face. He looked like as if he was planning to kill her in the next second.

"Apparently your parents are connected to mine so I would love to use your identity to investigate my parents death." Damon said and making me look at him in confusion how was he supposed to use my identity and how was his parents related to mine

"Who exactly are your parents?" I asked and he smiled shaking his head vigoursly he came closer flicking my forehead. I woke up from the thought and looked at Damon.

"Why would you flick my head like that?" I asked rubbing my hands on the spot I still couldn't run off because of his grip on my hand.

"You didn't answer me so I did the best thing I could" He shrugged like it was nothing. I wished I could just go ahead and plug his face off his body.

"When are you joining my family?" He asked and I rolled my eyes. "I literally helping you,what is the big deal with you just getting married to me?" Damon asked and I looked at him thinking. 'Was he hypnotizing me?' I couldn't help but feel guilty.

"That is nice but I am not ready to get married no for any family drama" I said with a cringe expression fighting the strong feeling of just accepting his request I somehow felt like the bad person now.

"What do you mean family drama?, You are not even entering into my family" He said and I shrugged I pulled my hand from his and went down to the kitchen.

"It is probably not a good idea for me to enter into into marriage so I early since I just got back into the entertainment industry" I said shaking my head like I wanted him to pity it seemed like it worked because said 

"I will give a few more days" Damon said and stood up leaving the place, he actually agreed easily I chuckled at his attitude before closing the door behind him,he was so used to act tough.

Buzz!!! My ringtone came blasting early the in the morning the next day I could vividly remember that I didn't have anything on my schedule today so who was the one who had a problem with me, calling so early in the morning.

I held the pillows closed to my ears to stop the noise but it just wouldn't budge and took up the phone.

"Hello,the person you are trying to talking to call is very sleepy at the moment please call again later, thank you" I said and wanted to put the phone down but her voice stopped me 

"This isn't time for jokes." Helen said from the outer side,her voice carried panic and a little hint of fear.

"Helen!"

"Why are you calling so early!" I still hadn't gotten back at her for last night and now she decides to call this early.

"Check the news!" She said and I quickly hung up I totally knew what that meant I looked through my phone quickly and the messages got me screaming.

"WHAT!!!"
