“Why did he actually did that?” Ace asked and I sighed, he didn't seem to know what had transpired between us before intact many do not know.

“We are married” I said firstly to see his reaction and his eyes widened in shock. “We are not really married anymore but we once were and it did not end well. He left me for his first love” I remarked his expression expected actually that is what everyone would do.

“He still had the gut to do that disgusting thing to you. Does he really have no shame?” Ace said, I could feel his anger he looked like he was fuming in anger for what he did but he couldn't possibly beat him up. Could he?

“It is expected that has always been his attitude from. The very start but I was too blind in love to understand. So it is my fault” I said and I could hear him trying to sympathies with me but I stopped him.

“Thank you for youe help. I will treat you to lunch” I said and he nodded walking out. I got up to look out the window to cool my mind and I sighted Damon in the restaurant opposite us.

I quickly hurried out of my office to go meet him but I got stopped by Ace who asked “Are you ready to take me to lunch?”

I looked at the time on my watch and realised it was already lunch break. I pondered in my mind before I finally agreed and said “Okay, then I will pick the place .

“This place!?”

“Don't you think it is too expensive?” He asked and I chuckled hitting his arm playfully.

“Come on in I am paying” I said and dragged him along with me I took a seat directly opposite Damin and he picked up the menu.

“This dishes are so expensive. I don't think I deserve this…” I heard Ace stop his words but I couldn't look back toward him I was just too focused on trying to figure out who Damon was with.

I saw a hand snap in front of me and I turned towards him.”What is wrong?” He dropped the menu in his hands placing his hands above it.

“You don't have to treat me to this meal if you are busy”

“I am sorry, I was just trying to check something you have all my attention now.” I said and fully faced him when he called the waiter and ordered. 

“Card or cash?” The waiter asked after he saw we were done with the food. 

“Card please!” We echoed our voices hovering each other. I looked him in shock as the waiter extended his hand foward.

“What do you want to pay?” I asked and he nodded swiftly placing the card on the waiter’s hands. I got up and held the waiter not letting her go.

“Don't use his use mine.” I said and snatched the card from her hand and placed mine there. Ace also got up to his feet to take the card from me.

I glared at him but he was not willing to budge he brought out another card from his pocket and placed it on the waiter’s hands taking mine.

“You can go use mine.” I couldn't argue anymore as I only brought a card along. I pointed my hands out with a sad pout on my face.

“My card?” He dropped the card on my hands and I gave to him, his.

“Why did you pay it was obviously me treating you” I said but he shook his head negatively. He raised his hand placing it on my shoulder but I soon felt someone take it off and I looked to the side in shock to see Damon.

“I see that you were about to leave you can do that now” He said waving him off I was about to tell him to do otherwise but Damon placed his hand on my lips.

Ace nodded being a gentleman he was and turned back as he went out the door only then did he drop his hands from my lips.

“Why did you do that? I was still having a conversation with him” I said and he scoffed as he sat down.

“I warned you about the people around you trust me when I say he is the one” He said drawing my curiosity I also sat down opposite him and asked.

“Are you sure about that?” He shook his head negatively and I rolled my eyes “So you really think everyone around me bears evil intentions?” He nodded slowly to my question with an audious smirk on his face. How I felt like taking that smirk off his face.

“So what were you doing?” He asked and I rolled my eyes did he really think what he did was right? I got to my feet and began to walk out only not hear pleas but rather compliments to himself.

“I left a meeting for yo. You can't be so ungrateful” He screamed and I scoffed not taking a stop on my footsteps.

ACE’S HOME 

“Who is there?” Ace asked after hearing a resounding knock for the third time. 

“You…” he trailed off in shovk to see him standing there.

“Hi, Ace!” The person at the door said with a michevious smirk on his face.

NEXT DAY 

HAN CORPORATIONS 

“What is wrong with you today why do you keep staring at me in such a weird manner?” I asked raising a brow at him.

“Oh it is nothing. Should I bring the files over?”He asked and I nodded his behaviour was really concerning but I had no time to think about it because I soon got a call.

“Hello. Miss Astrid, Mr Calvin requests to see you” The person said and rolled my eyes how dare him even think about seeing me he didn't even have the gut to tell me himself I was about to focus back on my work when suddenly an Idea hit me.

I got to my feet with a smirk on my face he was probably try to get back with me so I wouldn't even worry about the property anymore but I was going play him at his own game.

I walked towards his office and I was about to open the door but he bursted it open instead “Hey! You came” He sighed he was probably about to come to meet me in the office.

“Yeah, I thought you might have had something good to say” I said and he nodded happily he must have thought his plan had succeeded.

“Yeah. about that I would love to apologize for…” I placed shook my head negatively and thankfully he took the hint and stopped his words.

“No. I don't want to hear about it you are forgiven already” He smiled on my words it was his michevious smile which he had always had.

“Okay then can you let me treat you to lunch?” He asked and I nodded “Great then I will come get you”He said and I nodded again leaving his side with a michevious smile on my face.

“Here are the files”Ace dropped the files on the table drawing me out of my thoughts.

“Also… I saw you with Calvin is everything alright?” He asked making look up to see him I shook my head negatively 

“It is nothing. I am fine you don't have to worry about it” I said and he muttered “Guess I have to do it”
