This person looked a lot like Damon!? “Damon!” I called out but he shook his head negatively.
“I am not Damon, I am Ace, a new employee looking forward to working with you” I smiled as I walked out of the place.
Arriving at the restaurant for he reserved a lady walked up to me and asked “Are you Miss Eleanor?” I nodded with a smile on my face and she led me to meet Calvin.
“You are here already? Have a seat!” He said and took out a seat for me he was acting like such a gentleman.
“You called me over, I guess you are ready to sell the company” I said ready to take out the contract for it to be signed. Seeing me in the company earlier today must have made him scared to the gut.
“Not yet, but I have a better deal to propose to you” He said but although a bit disappointed I still wanted to hear his proposal.
“Please speak” Heaeing my words a sinister smile crawled up on his face.
“You could sign a partner's deal with me, one in which you would be able to be considered a major shareholder” I smiled at his suggestion.
“Thank you for the offer but I am not interested” I got up to my feet and he banged his hand on the table. I smiled as I got up to my feet, I hadn't implemented half of my plans yet. Why would I give up now?
“You can place a call over when you are ready to sell” I said walking off, right now who I needed was Damon. I drove to his office and walked in without anyone questioning my identity. I was well known for being the CEO'S wife after all.
“Did you miss me?” I asked placing my hand on the desk to get him to look at me but like always he only focused on his work without sparing me a glance.
Damon it muttered out”What do you want?” I rolled my eyes before I replied him saying “Aren't you going to look at me, Maybe I need you to see something.”
He still refused to look up from the screen and this time he also didn't answer me. “Fine I want you to help me deal with Calvin” I finally blurted out a straight answer.
“No.” I heard you went to his office today isn't that enough he asked and I scoffed testing to him
If it was I wouldn't come to you I said and he nodded before he replied No his blunt answer was getting me angrier by the second.
Remember we are in a partnership you should help me I said but like ways he had a befitting reply to give me.
“The partnership is only directed towards the investigation of the murder every other thing is invalid” He said and I sighed in defeat. I turned my back ready to leave but I had an idea and turned back towards him to see he had finally dropped his atte toon from his work and was now recieving a call.
“I am not coming you know I don't attend these. Fine I will come and I will bring her along. He rolled his eyes and hung up from the phone.
I was about to talk when he said you will come with me to the family dinner with a domineering voice I would have been tempted to angry but I scoffed his voice doesn't work on me.
“No I wonywhy would I do something for you when you can't for me ? Moreover I thought you didn't have parents” I added and I received a scoff from him.
“You are my finace of course you should attend also my uncle is the one who took care of me so I should honour him.”
He earned an eyeroll from me with his words. I was fiancée not by choice “You forced me to be your fianxee so why should I care “ I smiled this time around it was me giving him a test of his own medicine.
Fine I will help you with Calvin but you have to come along with me to the dinner he said and I smiled Deal
I turned around ready to leave to get a dress at ho.e but I had to turn back towards him when he asked where I was kheaded to
Home where else I asked and he looked at me in denial.
I will get you the cloth for the dinner you might not know what they like He said and I nodded agreeing with him.
