CHAPTER 2: MOVING

Dragging her weak body to the pack house gate, Daria body's finally dropped on the floor.

She raised her hand to signal a guard some meters away but the hand dropped weakly again.

The last thing she heard was someone yelling her name from afar before her lashes finally hugged themselves as darkness enveloped her.

****Hours ago****

" The air's so cool" Daria said with a blissful smile, obviously enjoying the moment.

" Where's Genova?" Kaden asked suddenly, looking around them.

" Huhn?" Daria gasped, the smile completely disappearing from her face.

She looked at kaden anxiously who was shouting the boy's name.

" I will check over there kaden, he might just be some meters away, you know how curious genova can be." Daria said trying to ease the tension in the air even though the tone of her voice completely betrayed her.

She hurriedly gathered her long dress in her hands, running and screaming for her son's name.

That was the last thing she remembered.

Daria jumped out of bed immediately she regained consciousness, she looked around and found herself on her bed.

In her room!!

She looked around again to be sure she wasn't dreaming.

How did she land on her bed?

How did she even find her way back to the pack house?

All those thoughts rang in her head but she couldn't find the answer to any of them.

" Genova!!" She gasped suddenly, almost tripping as she ran towards the door.

In a dimmed lighted room, which at first glance looked like a group of people were having a meeting. A serious one had that.

Some of them had wicked smirks on their faces, some had the serious looks, while some had unreadable expressions on their faces.

This includes the elegant looking lady who sat at the edge of the table they were all sitting around.

Even though her face was concealed, it wouldn't take more than a glance for one to know the beauty the lady possessed underneath the mask.

She sat silently watching as the members spoke in hushed voices. She seemed to be in a other world of her own.

Her lips curved with a wicked smile, which looked unbelievably ethereal under the mask.

SILVER MOON PACK HOUSE

" Where's Genova?" Daria screamed for the nth time. She wasn't calming down at all which was getting some of the people around annoyed.

" Calm the fuck down, daria" The alpha yelled already visibly angry.

Daria opened her mouth to yell back but took two steps backwards as she hurriedly removed her gaze from his eyeballs which were starting to switch colours.

It was obvious he was almost getting out of hand, even the officials, maids, guards bowed their heads quickly in obeisance.

The Beta, Cole, moved forward whispering words in the alpha's ear carefully.

After a while, he stepped back as he saw the alpha had calmed down slightly.

" Take the Luna to her suite." The alpha gestured to one of Daria's handmaid.

"Parrr!!"

A loud slap echoed in the large hall, earning gasps and surprised glances from some people.

" Who gave you the right to touch me, you miserable lowlife?!" Daria sneered scarily as she glared at the shivering maid who had offered to take daria to her suite as instructed by the alpha.

" Touch me with those filthy hands again and your useless head would find itself on a stake." She said as she brushed past the maid who was lying on the floor due to the

effect of the heavy slap she received.

" Where's my son, kaden?" Daria screamed loudly, damning any consequences that could come upon her by calling the alpha by his name in the presence of all the court members.

" My lady!" Xander, held her firmly on her shoulders, giving a warning look, but the woman just huffed and shrugged his hands off her with a firm looking face.

Suddenly, she felt herself been swept away from the ground, her eyes glaring the tiled glittering floor.

HOPE CLINIC

"Did she tell you when she'd be back?" A man asked, forwarding his gaze to a little cute girl.

" No, she didn't." The girl, crystal said innocently.

" She's been like that recently though, always going out without telling me." The girl sulked.

" Don't worry, uncle Logan is here for you okay?" The man said laughing with his deep voice.

" Yeah, I sure do know that"Crystal said, her cute little voice tainted with a tinge of sarcasm.

The man was about to reply when his phone pinged, as he stood to his full length.

" Hey sweetie, call me when mummy's back okay?" He said perking the girl's soft cheeks.

" I won't!"

Crystal humphed, folding her little arms on her chest. Logan stared at her fondly for a while before chuckling.

" I know you will baby!" He said.

A cute smile spread on the girl's face as she waved at his back which was fading away as he moved further.

DARIA'S SUITE

Kaden threw daria on the bed like she burned him, the bulging veins in his neck could tell how much he was trying to control the anger brewing in him.

" What is wrong with you?" The growl forced itself out of the alpha's throat.

" I... just tell me where my son is" Daria said rather calmly, like she was trying not to get him completely mad.

" He's fine.. damnit, he's fucking fine, don't you get it? The alpha yelled.

" How could i let anything happen to my son?,,,why the hell are you this stubborn?" He added groaning.

" If he's fine, why do you keep hindering me from seeing him? Huhn?" She questioned, already beginning to flare up.

" A father indeed!" She muttered under her breathe, but thanks to the werewolf's super hearing ability, the man who heard what she said clearly glared at her before storming out of the room.

Almost as the alpha left, she perceived a smell which was already fading away.

Was someone eavesdropping on them?

She quickly ran, jerking the door open but she met no one suspicious except the guards and maids going to and fro.

The alpha immediately shape shifted as he ran into the forest.

If someone were to be there, he'd only see a blurring shadow as the wolf ran as fast as that of a lightning.

The huge silver wolf ran with an amazingly abnormal speed through the hilly forest.

Minutes later, the wolf stopped at the edge of a clear river in the heart of the forest.

It dipped it's head into the river but stopped immediately as the reflection of another wolf standing firmly on the hill above him, flashed in the glassy clear river, but before he could look up, the thing he saw had disappeared.

Was he hallucinating now?

He was about to run towards the hill when he felt someone talk in his head.

*[ Where are you alpha?...Please hurry back, he's awake ]*

He heard the beta's anxious voice.

Taking a sharp turn, he raced back to the pack.

::::* HOPE CLINIC*

Crystal sat on the her mother's mahogany large table in her office as she stared at the staffs who filled the office making it seems small and stuffy.

" Do you have any idea why she called us here?" A male nurse nudged Logan and all the remaining staffs focused their gaze on him.

Their eyes curious for answers.

" And how do you expect me to know that?" He replied cocking his head at the male nurse who nodded, and stood back in his normal position.

The door pushed open, revealing Leilani's angelic, calm pretty face as she walked gently like she was walking on eggshells.

The doctor's white coat looked extremely good on her which was hugging the white jumpsuit she wore beneath it.

" I know your minds are working with incredible thoughts as to why I told the whole of you to assemble here." Leilani stopped.

" Well,..." She drawled, going over to the other side of the table, as she took out several filled envelopes from the drawer.

" Here...here.. here" she continued as she gave an envelope to each worker.

She got to Logan who was scrutinizing her face like she had stolen something.

" Take it" Leilani urged, trying to force the envelope into his hands only for him to swat the hand away...

" What're you doing?" He asked calmly.

" What does it look like?" She replied, smiling gently.

" We just collected our paycheck recently, so why paying us again?" Logan asked and the others nodded silently.

" A bonus?" A petite nurse asked from behind.

" No, no, no" Leilani chuckled gently.

" This is nothing like a bonus." She added.

" Then?" Logan asked.

" Simple, we're moving!!" She suddenly said.
