CHAPTER 3: NOT ENOUGH BEAUTY

" What!?"

" We're moving!?!" The little girl exclaimed looking shocked at what her mother said.

They had lived here in Oklahoma, for ages.

So why were they relocating?"

" Are you really serious?" Logan asked looking at her with hers that says "you're not in your right senses"

The other staffs had bulging, curious eyes except from one though. A quite petite looking nurse whose scalp was almost showing because of the way she packed the bun on her head.

" I really don't want you guys to think I considered you irrelevant, that's why I had to tell you as soon as possible. So just use your pay wisely, okay?." Leilani said.

" Excuse me ma, can I ask a question?" A nerdy looking nurse asked.

" Sure Susan." Leilani nodded with a smile.

" If you leave, how do we go about the clinic?... I'm not ready to transfer ma" The nurse said looking like she wanted to cry.

" Don't worry, you guys would be updated about that later, hmm?" She replied.

" So, you can all go back to your duties, I'm done, thanks for listening to me." Leilani said, heaping her little crystal in her arms.

The nurses nodded, walking out silently. You'd know they had a lot to gossip and talk about in their offices.

" Logan?" She turned to look at where he was sitting earlier but the seat was empty.

" He went out when you were talking to Susan." A nurse who had her hair in a bun said, seeing Leilani's gazing at the empty chair.

Leilani nodded giving the nurse a strange glance which the nurse nodded to before heading out.

" Are we really moving out of oklahoma, mom?" Crystal asked twisting the candy in her hand.

" And how do you know that?" Leilani replied, arranging her bags with her other hand.

" I have ears mommy, ears!!!!" The girl groaned knowing her mother was teasing her.

" Mom?

" Yes, baby" the mother replied, dropping the girl on her little princess chair.

" Uncle Logan looked quite annoyed earlier, do you think he'll be fine?" The girl asked innocently, her shiny blue eyes, staring up at her mother.

Leilani rubbed the little girl's silky hair fondly before continuing what she was doing.

" He'll be fine." The woman said, giving her child an assuring look.

Alpha Kaden walked gallantly through the long hallway, ignoring the numerous greetings he received from the people around.

Walking deeper into the hallway, he twisted the golden door knob entering a large sparkling clean room.

The beautiful golden chandelier hung on the ceiling on the room, sharing glittering lights across the white tiles.

A well spread,huge king sized bed lay in the middle of the room, on it laid a little lad.

The Alpha prince!

The beta bowed as he saw the alpha king, grinning widely. The alpha king cocked his head at him, like he was asking him what was the grin about.

" Ahh, you came a tad bit late, he was awake earlier but i think he's still too tired, so he must have gone back to sleep." Said the beta who looked quite enthusiastic.

" Cole." The alpha's cold but calm voice called gently. " You sounded quite nervous when you mind linked me, so what's the grin about?" The alpha asked.

" My goodness!" Cole exclaimed, holding his cheeks like he were blushing. " I'd be too good if I decided to be an actor right?" The beta laughed loudly. " I was just trying to bring you home, my alpha." Cole said.

The Alpha glared at him for some time before sitting at the edge of the large bed, taking the little lad's head on his thighs and caressing the round chubby face of the unconscious boy.

" Cole."

The Alpha king called in a solemn voice, his eyes looking faraway.

The Beta knew what the alpha king wanted to tell him. His playful face became serious in a instant.

" Yes, Alpha." He replied coming closer to him.

He was about to take a seat when the Gamma burst inside, frantically looking at the bed.

" You fool, I thought you said he had woken up." The Gamma hissed throwing himself on the large sofa in the room.

" Moron, you should know I only wanted him to get back to the pack house, we can't risk letting our alpha in danger, you know the condition he...." Cole hurriedly shut his mouth, hitting himself lightly on the head.

He nodded thankfully at Xander's warning glare.

" Who were they?"

They froze for a second, hearing the Alpha's question.

The Gamma eyed cole, mentally scolding him for making the Alpha bring up the topic they were both trying to ignore.

The Alpha raised his head up, his clear hazel orbs eyeing his two closest friends who were looking everywhere but him.

Their always running mouth had suddenly gone dry.

He carefully placed the little boy's head on the bed, he adjusted the bed covers gently before throwing an annoyed glare at the Beta and Gamma before leaving the room.

" Ohh..that was so close." Cole said, dramatically breathing heavily.

" Dumb head!" Xander scoffed, picking a magazine.

Cole gave him an hard smack on his head before taking a glance at the magazine xander held.

The latter was just opening the pages without going through the contents of each page.

" Damn, this human girls are quite hot." Cole whistled like a playboy he was.

" Fool, our girls are way more hotter than them." Xander replied, without taking his eyes from the magazine.

" Who's arguing about ladies now?" Cole teased, trying hard not to chuckle.

Xander's face turned red in embarrassment as he flung the magazine on cole who already started laughing.

Xander was the only one who was always reluctant to be entangled with a female. He made sure he centered all his attention on matters containing the pack and his closest friends. Though he had everything a female would want ina male, it was always hard for them to even approach him. He wasn't even in a hurry to find the female the moon goddess created for him.

On the other hand was Cole, the playful and talented playboy amongst them. He had the looks, the status and all which made almost all the unmarked females in the pack to be well acquainted with him. He was the ladies man among them but very serious when a serious situation arrives.

Cole stared at the blushing face of the man, which made him burst out laughing again.

Xander's face looked like

Daria sat in front of her beautifully designed dressing table, combing her long, dark shiny hair. It was obvious her mind wasn't into the combing, her mind was faraway.

She sighed, staring at herself in the mirror.

She is beautiful!. She knows that, she knew she was pretty. She had the beauty, the most beautiful lady in silver moon pack.

Status?

She was the only daughter of the most influential in Red moon pack, a very large pack similar to the silver's moon pack.

But..

Was her beauty not enough for him?

She paused, looking at her reflection in the mirror.

Was it those long, dark hair that looks like those korean historical princesses?

Or her slightly large beautiful dark eyes that always seemed helpless, wanting some people to hide her under their wings...

Or her....

She sighed again, her mind roaming in different directions.

She remembered the day she saw him first and a small smile appeared on her face.

She had used her fragile palms to cover her mouth so as not to scream in amazement. That was how much she loved the man.

The moon goddess bear her witness on how ecstatic she had been the day she was paired with him.

Her thoughts came to an abrupt end as the door pushed open. She looked up at the mirror and her eyes locked with those his gorgeous orbs.

Those devilishly gorgeous eyes that had stolen her heart away.

She hurriedly cleaned the lone tear that unexpectedly dropped on her cheeks while she was still reminiscing about the past.

She gathered her skirt in her hand, before lying on the bed, turning her back on him.

Kaden stared at her back which was facing him. He sat on the side of the bed, glaring at her back like he was memorizing it.

His gaze landed on the tattoo that looked like a falling star in the edge of her back.

He removed his gaze from the beautiful tattoo before stretching his gaze to her long beautiful neck.

The alpha's hand found it's way out of his pants, before placing his fingers on the mark in her neck.

Unexpectedly, she threw his hands off like he burned her.
