I ran out the pack house and was met by the bright sun beaming down on me. I shot my hand out to shade my eyes as they stung when being met with direct sunlight. One of the “perks” of being half vampire, sensitivity to sunlight. I stopped and looked both ways before I jumped down the steps and hooked a right and ran behind the pack house. I ran through a small training ground and headed straight for the trees, hoping to disappear.
