Charles returned quickly with a notebook in hand and a pen. He handed it over to Viviana and she gave him a big smile and rose up on the tips of her toes and gave him a kiss on the cheek. His cheeks turned red as Viviana turned her attention to the notebook and quickly opened it and began to scribble in it. She tore off the paper and then tore it in half and handed one to Emily and she kept the other half. “I will go with Charles to find these and you” Viviana looked at me “and Emily can go find the other half” I winced inside at the thought of having to be alone with Emily. “Perfect!” I say back to Viviana a little too enthusiastically which caused her to look at me with a questioning look while cocking her head to the side. I offer an awkward smile to her, then to Emily who in turn looks confused herself. “well, its settled then” Viviana said while still giving me a questioning look, as if she was waiting for me to contest “ we will meet back here in forty-five minutes.”
