Emily POV

I know Hannah knew I wasn’t staying behind to go to the restroom. I also know she would’ve done worse than Kayla if she thought someone had messed with her sister, or even me.

“What did you tell them?” I asked Hannah with a laugh as Easton laced his fingers in mine.

“That we’ll be getting food again in a couple of hours?” Hannah meekly tried to avoid it.

“Marjorie doesn’t take anything out of her employees’ pay, especially if she says something is on the house.” Easton informed with a chuckle.

“Really, Hannah?” I laughed.

“Well, I know you won’t tell anyone. You never tell people about the good you do. Always trying to do everything behind the scenes.” She mumbled.

“I don’t do things for public recognition. I do it because it’s the right thing to do. The only recognition I ever wanted was from my family and I gave up on that a long time ago.” I muttered.

“Well, you’ll get a lot of recognition here. Better get used to it, Luna.” Ryan said with a wink.
