"Thanks for helping me, Chandler. If not for that, I doubt those media outlets would've dared to spill the beans on Faust Group," I said.

"I'll help you as long as it's what you want. There's no need to thank me." Chandler looked at me tenderly.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't moved.

Then, I said, "Oh, right. Before you came here, did you drop by to see how Lincoln was doing?"

I wasn't asking because I cared about Lincoln, of course.

"He saw the news and almost had an aneurysm. You know heart problems are the hardest to fix, right? He should be in the hospital for a long time." Chandler looked almost gleeful as he spoke.

Then, his expression turned serious as he looked at me. "You don't need to feel guilty or go easy on him, Carrie. He owes you this."
